Even glow plugs that aren't supposed to swell can. Kind of like the unsinkable ship thing.
Wellmans are one of the better ones not real likely to swell. I usually use AC 60G I have had good luck with them when using a manual glow plug set up. I have also had good luck with the OTC glow plug...
Once your ignition system is up to par, and the carb is checked out, ie needle valve & seat - float. I would change the oil before I tried to start it. I have seen oil that was so gasoline diluted the engine would not run. Also the whole wear issue. Good luck. I recently aquired a M880...
I think we should a Better Government Bureau. Similar to the Better Business Bureau. It seems often times the amount of money involved is significant, but not significant enough to spend hours of valuable time fighting a battle you could possibly never win. Good Luck and I hope you do fight it.
I picked up a M1010 there in the summer. Easy enough to find. I forget the details now but can look at the map for a refresher. Chris the contact person was nice and helpful. I do remember it is right next to/ share a parking area as the police. I can post more details this eve.
A drum puller works great also if you can beg, borrow, rent one. Just make sure your brakes are backed off as prev posted, or you will bust up your hardware/shoes. Put some pressure on the puller and a few raps with a hammer and it should pop off.
