What thickness glass did you ask for quotes for? Just buy the channel of the same thiclness.
What thickness was your original glass? Go for the same thickness as your original or you might find the new stuff doesn't fit your frames.
Something you hardly ever see mentioned in the numerous postings abour hard starting HMMWVs is people checking the COLD ADVANCE SWITCH and it's associated SOLENOID in the injector pump. Two critical components in cold weather starts. The cold advance switch is on the rear end of the right...
I don't know the reason for it but I have found that if I hit the pedal once in the morning when I go to start it it will start easier than if I don't. There's no accelerator pump in the IP to give the truck a little extra fuel to start like there is in most gas engined vehicles. Iscycling the...
The original polycarbonate laminated glass was intended to be an "anti-spalling" glass meaning a projectile could hit it and break the glass but it would stop glass fragments from spraying around inside the vehicle and causing injuries. It was tempered glass like you have in your family car...
If that solenoid is one that you added you could add a couple protective diodes to allow either the MOSFETS or the new switch to control the glow plugs giving you a manual backup system.
Mogman is right, the glow plugs are powered thru MOSFETs on the circuit board.
I wonder if that solenoid is the reverse battery polarity protection? I know there was one in the earlier boxes.
Could someone clarify exactly when the transfer case High Lock switch started being installed. Was it a retrofit that was cut into the production line at some point?
All you need to do is to put the SWR meter in series with the BNC cable to the antenna base and then turn the frequency knob until you get the best antenna match. ie, When the SWR is the lowest. There's no need to disassembly anything.
I had a rental car once in Thailand and when I looked at the heater controls there was no red at all! Only the blue side. Even up in Chang Mai it doesn't get all that cold.
I don't know but Black Dog Customs says the fan turns on at 220-230 degrees. The -10 manual says "over 215". So go figure?
I need to go, someone just paged me and I need to stop at a pay phone and call them. Lol And your replying on Steel Soldiers?
Pressure in the system raises the boiling point of the coolant and with a system where the fan cycles at 230 degrees you want the highest pressure you can reasonably use without blowing something out so I'd go with the 16# cap. That's what all the early HMMWVs had on them. And the H2 is just...
Something I've wondered about for years but have never seen done was to mount one of the alternators from the A042 engines used on pumps and gensets to the Mule. The block is already drilled and tapped for one so it should become a simple matter of remounting the stator onto the Mule block and...
This is a great opportunity to test the STE-ICE connector in your truck. Pins S and T are +24V and start connections to the starter. If you short these pins together with a short length of wire the starter should engage and as long as you have +24 volts on the Injector Pump #54 the truck...
