Open the window, put some candle wax on the frame in that corner, then close the windshield and put some silicone there from the rubber gasket down to the frame. That will fill the gap, the silicone will stick to the rubber and stay with the windshield, but the wax will keep it from sticking to...

rofl Told you that was your problem. Pete will hook you up with one. A tiny bit of grease will help keep the replacement on the shaft. Usually they end up on top of the steering box or on the inside edge of the framerail.

That 12 point bolt should never be removed. If it does go back in and doesn't leak, leave it alone. Since the truck is running, that means that the button is fine, no problem there. It is running away when you start it because you didn't get the shutoff lever back in the slot in the shutdown...

Parkerizing is good, but will rust unless it is oiled once in a while. I do parkerizing in my shop here, have the big tanks and burners.

Valence, remove the gears from the tachometer drive housing, and install them in an old speedometer adapter housing. That should transpose the gears so they rotate the proper direction, if I'm visualizing it properly.

Pull your in line pump out and see if the inlet has trash in it. While you have it off, blow the fuel line between it and the tank out.
