BuyLCI.com used to have military CGU-1/B 5000 lbs ratchet straps. However in service I've never seen a shelter mounted on a truck using ratchet straps unless it was just for temporary transport. If you're looking for a correct S250 setup as issued typically there is a bracket kit, or steel wire...
Great looking sides on that 101 ssgoat. I was going to say nice looking wood, but I don't want that to be misinterpreted....
Wood that nice almost looks out of place on a military trailer. I like the top down restoration you've got going.
I called GMA covers last week for exactly the same thing. Kept getting voicemail. I need several of these hooks for an M1102 cover- or a new cover. I think someone tried the same thing through GMA awhile back and found out they no longer sell to individuals, but I'm going to try GMA again this...
Dale, If you need any help between FBGA and FBNC I'm at FGGA, almost right in the middle of that stretch.
Of course if you're going to break down during a cross country MV road trip I think GA is about the best place , there are a bunch of members down this way.
Good luck! I think...
Is the switch plate on the dash and just the switch is missing, or is there no evidence a switch was ever present? Might be a sprag transfer. Search sprag in the early deuce and deuce forums.
I haven't seen the recruiting HMMWVs mentioned by the poster above, but I've seen plenty of other recruiting HMMWVs and they were certainly not Hummer H3's. Of the dozen or so HMMWVs I've examined up close painted in the black and gold scheme all were just repainted HMMWVs not Hummers. All I've...
Congrats on this coming out in your favor! Glad you got to keep it! You did the right thing and were rewarded. We were all rooting for you and never doubted the outcome. ;-)
If you were closer I'd let you try my 809 clutch. Honestly it's not too bad. It's got a fairly long travel, but its not too stiff. I don't know how easy they are to burn up, but I have to imagine they're pretty tough. As crashee put it they were built to resist 18yr old Soldiers that drive 'em...
There's a sliding switch on the turn signal arm. See the nubs on the arm, one on top one on the bottom? Slide that outward along the length of the arm while pushing the arm upward past the right turn indication position.
Monrovia is in Liberia, right? In that case I'd wager you probably don't need a CDL. In fact, I'd wager you can do just about whatever you want if you're driving a M925.
However, if you're in Monrovia, CA.... Do you need a CDL? Yes.
Otherwise: search.
Or turned and quickly slid out only to darn near catch the parking brake handle a little higher and further to the rear than the cargo pocket area...:shock:
I went with the 2 out of 4 good 6TLs that came with my truck, and 2 new group 31s. The GP31 requred a slight mod to the battery box and a new hold down that took about 30 min to figure out and fabricate. It has worked great for almost 2 years, even through a Michigan winter. It will crank strong...
If the weight of the handle causes wear as the t/c ages, do we suppose that strapping the handle in the maximum up position might decrease the wear over time and extend the life of the t/c components? Or will constant upward pressure cause other problems?
Engines and other major components could have been replaced while in service with little to no record keeping. Trucks didnt have to go through a complete depot rebuild to receive a new engine. It could have 1400 miles on it but have gone through two engines. Unlikely, but possible.
The A3s I've...
Great birthday gift, sounds like your nephew has a cool wife. I haven't seen many with that bed. Looks solid too. I don't know if its "rare", but it'd be a shame to scrap it.
