If you intend to get a boot wall ensure you order the correct version for your use. The walls for M577/M1068, S250s, S788s, etc are different. I'm not sure how many wall versions are out there, but I know first hand some versions don't adapt to different shelters very well at all. I've used...
Isn't there a parts/truck dealer offering kits to mount a Warn winch up front on a Deuce? Seems like I saw one, C&C perhaps? I don't know about the bolt patterns on the winches but if you have the $$$$, the dealer has the kit.
Welcome from Ft Gordon. You came to the right place for info on parts. Use search, but if you can't find what you need don't hesitate to ask. Also don't forget to post pics of your wrangler mods!
Glad you made it off the road and to your final destination alright. Truly a testament to how tough these trucks are. Years ago I watched my buddy explode the engine in his Ford Ranger and there was no way we could have gone another inch after punching a hole in the block and puking oil all...
Just made it home. Thanks all for a great rally. It was too short for me but I had a great time. It was good to meet a lot of you and to finally put faces with names.
Looks like too much fun already, I cant wait for the weekend. I'm definitely in this year, spent this weekend getting ready. I'm heading out of Augusta Friday after work. Let me know if I can bring anything!
Great tips, but what about wasps? I can't keep them away. I've tried the store bought wasp traps, the homemade types with soda bottles, etc. I tried multiple deterrent sprays. The only thing that works is hitting them directly with wasp killing spray. Of course that only works if you can locate...
Young gun, great looking set up. What's the scoop with that rubber piece between the uprights and the cab? Did you do that just to take up the slack between the pole and the unbolt, or is it there to dampen vibrations and squeaking? What material did you use?

He has new 12 pin trailer connectors.
You could also go for other amphenol connectors at any number of distributors, such as...
Cargo and trailer towing. A lot of different types of units get them. Don't let the spaceship looking cab fool you, they're just general purpose trucks.
You are the man. I would have never thought to cut my tracked vehicle in half to fit a new pair of tracks. Even if I had, I don't think I would have had the cojones to go through with it.

Is it still for sale? If so I'll bet the price just went up:grin:
Only rated CL II, 3,500 lb limit? You'd be right on the limit with a fully loaded M101. Quite a few users routinely overload their M101's, seems like using this adaptor would limit your trailer's usefulness.
I'd go with a ball/pintle combo hitch for your truck. It's a lot more versatile, not...
Don't sweat it, the point of the post comes across. Vehicle recovery is indeed dangerous and all who participate must do so with caution, no matter what previous experience you have.[thumbzup]
I'm definitely not trying to downplay the hazards of recovery operations, but this accident didn't happen. At least not in the Army from 2000 to 2012. There isn't even anything that remotely comes close to the accident described. I can go back further as time permits, perhaps it occurred earlier...
That's a pretty significant event in terms of Army accidents. I'm tied in to the Army safety network fairly well but I haven't heard of this one. Where and when did it occur? Class A accidents are tracked very well, if this actually did happen I can get more details. I would find it hard to...
