i went back and forth when I was first getting into MVs. I went with multi and am very happy i did.
easy to get parts; lots of knowledge here; love the sound of that diesel:smile:
let the teardown begin!
Started tearing into the restoration project.
once I started taking parts off, I couldn't stop:grd:
came across some NOS handlebars in Iowa...well worth the trip.
just needed some repair and touchup.
got her tore down pretty good. starting re-painting fenders...
It will grind only when going into first from a stand still. After that, she shifts great. No gear grinding. The truck is the front corner of my 5 ton.
I figured out she's a 1941.
None the less, here's a video I took today. Clean a few parts, add some fresh gas and BINGO, she's ALIVE!!! I'll drink to that:beer:
Enjoy

There are motorcycles from just about every war. I scoured the internet until I found my bike. I just bought it today...1942 indian model 741. in WWII there were harleys and indians. The indians were 641, 741 and 841 models. I'm not sure about harleys.
Go to G503.com. they've got a good...
Lookie look what the cat brought home...
She's a 1942 indian motorcycle model 741. engine and frame numbers are correct. O.D. green under the black paint. fired her up today...started in 2 kicks.
I'll be restoring her to original so any and all help will be much appreciated. I'll post...
I'd say 250 is at the very high side. It better be unused, not dry rotted, etc. to even think of fetching that price. The spreaders are super cheap and tons of them on the market. Don't get me wrong, just my 2 cents.
BTW, I have a desert colored truck so I'm always in the market for more...
