Be sure you have fresh diesel. My M818 wanted to stall each time I let off the pedal. I added some lucas to the tank and a fresh tank full of diesel and it went away quickly.

it wouldn't hurt to check and replace the rear main seal if needed.

My new M818 had no speedo and a very jumpy, inconsistent tach. I followed the TM closely to troubleshoot. I took the cables off at the origin. Using a power drill, I tested the cables and guages and they worked fine. I found that the end of the cable gets worn down so much it spins inside...
