We have one of those M936A2 wreckers with the counterweights. Would be easy to reproduce and can take some measurements if anyone would like to take a crack at it.

Was my understanding that the adjusting tool makes it unnecessary to remove the inspection covers to adjust the brakes. No?

What's the preferred tool and method to adjust the brakes on the M939 series trucks? The manuals are not too specific, and we were in a pinch, so removed the inspections covers and used a screwdriver. Would just like to be better prepared next time.

Cheapest/easiest way to use the brakes to improve traction is to add cutting brakes. Nothing automatic about it, but it's effective (compared to open diffs).

Don't remember the specs off the top of my head, but look them up if you're curious.

Why in the world would anyone want to do that, when the NV4500 is only about 1/2 as strong as the 3053A?

Interesting. I have three (one and a half pair) of the 3/4 & 1" combo feet that fit the medium adjustable towbars and would sure like to know if they're unsafe to use.
