I think I have a dead PTO, I want a second opinion.
First: M35A3 w/w, obviously. Engage the winch air valve lever (18 ) on the shift tower, unlock winch drum, engage winch. Move the winch air control valve lever to the spool out or in position and you can hear air move and the shaft in the...
It's not a bad job, just time consuming. I have done a bunch, here's the first one I did:

There are a few things that are annoying. The intake manifold nuts can only be removed with an open end wrench. You need...
Because they want to be able to tell their next door neighbor not to hang a dead deer or a small block Chevy out of a tree and leave them there for 6 months.
This is a very good conversion but I have slung a few blades off the arms. In the future, I am going to put a small machine screw and nut in place to hold the blade to the arm.

Proportioning valves are typically found on vehicles with front or all-disc brake systems. I have never encountered a vehicle with 4-wheel (or 6-wheel) drums that had a proportioning valve.
I've owned all sorts of 1950's, 1960's and 1970's Mopar and Chevy vehicles and I've wrenched on hundred...
So, I've had Mules, Jeeps, Deuces, CUCVs and even a 5-ton.
And I loved 'em all (except the CUCVs rofl).
But you'd be so much better off buying a used Cummins Dually.
Excluding Mules and Jeeps for obvious reasons, you come to CUCVs.
1009's won't cut it because they're half-tons and too short...
I guess it depends upon what you're after:
Is the purpose of the keyed switch to keep people from turning on the electrical system, or to keep someone from starting it?
On the main power switch, constant power is fed to A and C. When you turn the switch, power is sent to B and D. B & D sent...
I did not donate any money because I am broke.
I did call and email my State Senator, Frank Ginn and voice my support. He actually called me back after it had passed the Senate.
I emailed all of House Rules Committee members, other than the ones Swiss posted as supporters. This took about 4...
I hope that everyone who comes to the Ga Rally this year will take the time to search for Zout and Swiss and personally thank them for their efforts in this epic saga.
What they accomplished typically takes years of effort and there's never a guarantee of success.
If you're referring to the modern Scepter cans in the old mounts, they do seem to not fit properly. You can force it in but I assume modern jerry can mounting brackets are larger in the corners to accomodate the Scepters.
I don't know if it's cheaper but the 5-ton dumps certainly have more capacity. A deuce is more of a "household chores" dump truck, it's capacity is limited in comparison to commercial dumps. But for most people in a non-commercial usage, it's way more than enough.
You won't just be seeing...
