1. Synchro is worn out. Need to inspect the gears to make sure they're ok.
2. PTO linkage is binding up when the frame flexes. As the frame flexes, the linkage is trying to push the PTO into gear. Next time it does this, instead of pushing in the clutch, reach down and apply pressure to...
All the harnesses you'll usually find on ebay are the wrong ones, they're for M35A1's which you can make work, but they're slightly different.
Erik's has the cheapest harness, I think they're currently $310. It's the entire front harness, cab and front end.
There are several threads here...
Is that new? Because if so, I'd like to buy 2.
The absolute cheapest I have found the correct wire rope is about $3.60 a foot and with the M44 using 200', that's a lot more than $300, plus that doesn't include the end termination pieces or a chain.
These stories make me so mad when I see people bidding stuff up to retail prices on GL. You are buying from a wholesaler-in fact, GL is the govt. surplus version of the local auto auction.
You really, really, really don't want to pay retail for a car (or whatever) from the local auto auction...
What about all the people who have registration and titles for 1985+ vehicles already? I've had my '87 M35A2C tagged and titled since I bought it in 2011. Do I need to do anything?
I need a single soft top bow for Deuce/5-ton. Anyone have a single?
We have green and tan Deuce cargo covers, new in the box we can bring. NOS military side marker lights in red and amber, I think clintogf has an NOS 20' single pin NATO slave cable, she has brand new NOS slave cable ends...
Several points-
The weird nut you're referring to is wreckerman8.................. err................ wait, we're talking about alternators. :)
The weird nut you're referring to is a castle nut. It is slotted so you can put a cotter pin in it.
You typically do not need to loosen the bottom...
Wondering why GL does some of the stuff that they do is like wondering why dogs bark at the moon: much conjecture, no chance of ever knowing the truth.*
Until I event an app that reads dog thoughts and broadcasts them in real time to your smartphone. At which time I will become a...
They don't want educated customers. They do not want potential bidders to be able to look at past results and judge the value of an item. They want two uneducated fools blindly bidding against each other with no idea of where to stop.
HOLY MOLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111
What an improvement! Thank you so much patracy!!!!!!!
The only thing that's truly wrong is the spring placement. The adjusters were either turned the wrong way or you turned them farther than they needed to go and they "started over".
If I were you, I'd put at least one new shoe, maybe both. I would move the return spring to the correct...
Wow, these days with so many threads, that's an accomplishment.
When I joined the forum, I kept a file on the desktop and each night I'd read a few pages and keep score of what I'd read. It took a few weeks but eventually I had read everything. That's a big part of how I'm able to find...
Aright, that was quick.
After going back over the system in the tm, I realized there was another valve in the system. This allows the fluid to flow. It can be seen as the culprit in this thread: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?92351-winch-M35A3
After soaking it and freeing it...
