I picked up a M932A2 and it has dual tanks. There is an electrical switch for the gauge and a mechanical lever/valve for the fuel lines that switches both the feed and return lines. I plan on using this system in my M923 to add a second 55 gal tank to the pass side where the rear tool box is. If...
OK, I have tried looking in the TMs but it just isn't clear to me. Some one has to know the answer. Where can I find breakdowns and part numbers? That would help. The TMs show the service and repair to be the same.
Are the A0/A1 and A2 axles the same with the exception of CTIS and flat bottom? Are they the same gear ratio and do all the parts interchange? I ask because my parts truck is a M932A2 and my other truck is a M923A0. Thanks for your help.
Finally got the truck to the yard last week. Thought I would put up some pics for you guys. Truck is missing dash, generator and a bunch of CTIS and brake stuff. That's OK because I bought the truck primarily for the winch system, hood, and a few other parts I could use. So my primary question...
I agree, only 23? 1st, get a tank 2nd get ahold of a salvage yard or scrap metal company and line up like 100 or more, I think the tank would be the hard part. Scrapper would like a free crushing service.
I just bought a complete parts truck(M932A2) just for the winch and a few other parts. Planning to start working on the switch over at the end of September.
I wanted to go HV on mine but couldn't this year. Utah requires the vehicle to be 30 for what they call "Vintage Plates" so I have to wait til next year. That ment that this year I had to have a safety inspection ($17) and standard registration which cost $311, ouch. I was told that next year...
I finally got my tractor off of Hill AFB and to my yard. I had it trucked to the front of the shop due to 2 flat/rotten tires then set up a towbar to get it out back. I found out that a flat on the front and towbars don't mix well. Did get it out in the yard though. The truck is missing many...
The brakes on an M105 are air over hydraulic, I don't believe they will lock without air. I have manually pushed mine around with a little help and never had locked brakes, unless I left park brake levers inguaged. Good luck and enjoy, they are nice little trailers. What are you planning on...
Does anyone know why our government has chosen to scrap the remaining HMMWVs? There are several at GL here but will be sold as scrap and demilled on site with supervision. There are to be no parts salvage or transferred, destroy and shred is what is required. That's messed up. I could see them...
Reading the other TM's is called "Gaining Knowledge" about the series of trucks. I read up on all the different types of M939 series trucks before I made my purchase. All's good though, to each his own.
