    M939A1 NHC Turbo

I have an NH250 in an M818 that the previous owner added a turbo to but made no other fuel changes. The truck also has 16.00R20s (53's). Take off acceleration is no worse than a nonturbo truck on 11.00's, and it pulls the hills at speed even with a load (50k GVW) without downshifting. EGTs...

    Widow maker rims

I went and dug up a pic of the widowmakers for you. Note the continuous outer ring on the killer in the pictures. Your deuce rims have a split locking ring. Not the same thing. All that being said, my preference is bolt together 2 piece rims. Oh, and a locking air chuck is a critical piece...

    Widow maker rims

Firestone RH5 rims are the killers. The split lock ring rims found on deuces are not the same thing.

Edit - apparently I said too much.

estimated cost of a custom canvas for M101

I've had tarps made by Edwards Canvas in Paul's Valley OK. Extrapolating from what large thick heavy tarps cost, I'd be surprised if it was more than $1k for a nice custom cover. Edit -

Damage to 802 from non standard voltage/frequency

I'm thinking there's risk to the load, but little to none to the genset.

Picking Up a New Addition - Want Opinions

Rust is a big deal to me. Price seems a bit high, by $3-$4k or possibly more depending on just how bad the rust is. (And this takes into account that the mv truck market is somewhat inflated right now) The long cranking time is probably just due to losing prime. Something I'd consider a...

Picking Up a New Addition - Want Opinions

That's a KS RSMS truck. In my opinion the KS RSMS program did the best resets. A huge plus.

Need help with the evolution of 5 ton trucks.

I've seen that also. I just can't bring myself to believe it. Too many differences in the frames and hole locations in the frame. It would be far more work/expense to turn an 809 into a 939 than it would be to make a 939 from scratch. That isn't the first bit of misinformation to be found in...

Sounds like VIN tampering to me...

Eastern surplus and supply to nor cal

LEDs are usually rated as omnivolt. 10-30volts. I'm guessing your 34 is a typo.

    1984 M936 issues and upgrade?

The Allison is close to maxed out with the NH250. I believe its rated for something like 800 lbs/ft of torque. Wreckers are known for early transmission demise due to the weight.

    Evaluating a 5-ton for value?

I see a gasser parts truck also. $800 may be below scrap value. It's worth the greater of $800 or scrap.

    Few more pics.

    I particularly like the M37

M1078 is army. Marines went from 939series trucks to MTVR instead of FMTV.

ISO wheel studs for 2 piece rims

    I bet simp5782 has some.

seven for sale in one lot in Sierra Vista AZ

This type of coordination is called collusion and is a federal crime. (As well as against the rules here.)

XM816 swap to Michelin 53 Super singles

Duals get a two part wheel retention device. The inner wheel gets a "thimble" that mounts over the wheelstud. And sleeves the wheelstud with larger diameter threads. The outer wheel then goes over the thimble and is retained by a lugnut compatible with these larger threads. The front wheels...
