i would like to see you do the trans with near stock tires, and then borrow some tires to see if you really want to go that fast. i think that you may find that 14.5R20s are enough.

everyone who gets caught crys the blues, but it is illegal to use any of the fuels you list. many people do this, but when you are caught how can you think you are right?
yes, my data plates and oil info plate say 40wt, but 50 is also fine. 50 is just harder to find in many places unless you order it special.
thanks for the positive feedback dennis and john, it really does make the truck feel better!

72 mph? where is that? oh i see it, that is a 5 ton. there is no way a deuce with stock tires would go 72 mph!!
even on my truck, 72 mph would be 2800 rpm, but i advise against turning over 2500 rpm

the upper column from a goat is easy to use as well and tnj has them real cheap. gives you complete horn setup, just need to put u-joint on bottom end of shaft.
tom
all things considered, this is just a foolish idea. like james said, set the fuel to max safe amount and use your head to control economy. wait, economy and deuce is an oxymoron! one way you may get 10 mpg and the other you may get way less.

so it sounds like you have a bad pressure plate at the least. or some of the bolts holding it on could be loose on one area by the finger that is out more. (i doubt it though) to get to the pilot bearing you have to remove the trans, of course same for the clutch so just do it all at the same...
you mean pilot bearing, not input bearing, and it's in the crankshaft. just to be clear. also you cannot use just any kind of grease, some tend to dry out real fast with heat.
if the clutch is dragging, it will grind in 1st and rev. shut it off, put it in gear and start it. it is almost certainly pilot brng dry of clutch adj.

a equilizer will not handle the starter unless you spend $$$$$ on one. run the 12v starter on 24 volts, it will not care. (you should use a 24v selenoid) keep as much as you can 24 v. then use a vanner 50 amp eq for any of the 12v stuff you may have. i got one on evilbay for $85
tom
mythical indeed! sooner or later, probably later, everyone will realize that a 3053B never existed. only in the civi world there was a 3153B with .85 od but that would just be worthless to any of us even if you could find one after 46 years since it was made!

to mount the hemmt seats i used the stock pattern on the left and put the same pattern on the right using crimp in nutserts. you need to make a riser since the seats are too short otherwise.
tom
you say hold the inside nut, i guess you mean turn the inside nut as that is the one that adjusts the fuel. the outside nut is just a lock. isn't it just a 1/2" nut? just grind a cheap wrench thinner.
