Having chargers for each battery is best because it will independently charge each one. Which means it will only charge as much as needed for that one battery, and once it is full, it will either apply a trickle/maintenance charge, or stop charging altogether (depends on the type of charger).
A...
Get two cheaper 12v ones. You will be better off in the long run.
I have, and like my 24v solargizers, but they don't do much for 'charging'. Just maintaining.
Yes, Barstow.
I normally avoid bidding on vehicles from there. They are not normally in the condition that I like.
But the 818 looked in pretty good condition, and I couldn't resist it with those nice XL tires already on it.
If you are going to use it a LOT, I think it would be worth the swap.
Hydro, when done properly, will be a lot more reliable. No more shear pins ;)
No REAL shock loading with the fluid coupling. Yes, you can still have the line yank and jerk around, but it doesn't do nearly the same thing with...
Ok, NOW I know who outbid me!
I remember seeing that truck there the first time I was on that base.
Guess it was defaulted, and went back up for auction.
Drooled over it again the second time on that base when I got my M109.
The CWO on that post is a nice guy. The motor pool there is full of...
Chain the rearmost axle up. Fairly easy if you can lift the axle up far enough.
I did it for testing my 16r20's on the back of a truck I am going to bob soon.
FS: 1971 AM General M35A2 - Steel Soldiers::Military Vehicles Supersite
$3500 would be the stock one to make it. The cheaper one will probably get started on the bob job SOON.
It is getting closer for me to be able to commit to this!
IF I can make it, I will be bringing at least my M35A2.
Hoping to have a M105A2 in tow, not sure yet.
I have a medium tow bar setup that I can bring.
Now, if I can only finish my bobbed deuce by then!
Btw, I have a couple deuces and...
I am going to try. Not sure if I can make it, but if I don't, it won't be from a lack of trying!
Will be bringing a deuce, but it's going to be 450+ miles just to GET THERE! Talk about a sore butt....
Nice vid.
But I have done the two deuce convoy.
I want to be in a BIG convoy (oh wait, I used to hate those in the Army....)
Wonder how the one in WA will be....Can't wait.
Once you drive a bobbed deuce, you will know what the attraction is!
For that trip, the 6x6 version would make better sense. More reliable that way as well.
Heck, you can blow two tires, and still be able to drive JUST FINE!
Easy enough to chain up one axle and keep going without wheels on that...
I have seats like that Tbar in one of my tow trucks.
NOT a comfortable seat!
And it seems those cushions don't last long, and are not all that comfortable either.
Another vote for a full air ride seat. Otherwise a well maintained spring seat is a pretty good seat already.
