I didn't flip the centers. But the rims are about 12.5" wide. I wanted a very WIDE stance to the rim and tire rather then a bit too narrow. And this 'should' help keep them fairly lined up without having different rims for the front.
Called the local tire shops, and the cost for tubes is crazy!
That, and they have a hard time finding a tube bigger then the 14r20. They have plenty bigger, but they are for bigger rims.
I just made some wider rims, and I need to get some tubes, and flaps, to get the tires properly mounted...
One more reason they say to park it with the hand brake on, and the transmission in neutral, and the wheels chocked.
Think they learned the hard way a few times?
Pushing it in just removes one more step when you go to start it.
One less thing to forget.
Leaving it OUT is also correct because you are supposed to leave it out when you start it. This is to check for hydro lock.
I just remember looking up the kit for our trucks, and it showed 25 lbs. I know that this number is almost always based on the the closed spring pressure on the exhaust valves.
This was one of the reasons I wasn't in TOO big of a hurry to run an exhaust brake.

Page 4 shows one from the FMTV, but the rest are self made ones that look pretty good!
How bad is the oil?
And how much stuff is in it?
If the oil is fine, and there is very little gunk in it, then a flush would be fine.
If there is either bad oil, or lots of junk, a flush runs the risk of dislodging something else and blocking something very important inside one of the circuits...
