For the coolant heater.
Move the entire setup into the cab.
The stock setup is always bringing in fresh air, which is always colder.
Having it inside will recirculate the air and make a difference.
NOTHING like the fuel fired heaters of course. But more then the stock setup.
Besides, it's not...
Wait, cat 3116 motor and Allison AT-545 transmission right?
If so, transmission parts are plenty common. And those trannies are everywhere out there.
I have two of those motors in my tow trucks. Not the greatest in the world, but they get the job done.
Still not a multifuel though. Love the...
If all the different IPs use the same O-rings like shown already, then I would definitely want a few sets to keep on hand. Four trucks right now means I have decent odds of ONE having problems soon.
Hmm, maybe I need to get a few SETS of these so I have them on hand if/when the time comes to replace them.
Cause it's only a matter of time with these trucks.
Nice looking trucks, and congrats on a safe trip!
Btw, I find that when towing a deuce, if it doesn't steer correctly, I lengthen the tow bar out a couple holes and it usually steers just fine.
My first recovery used a second person to steer the towed deuce. But I didn't know how well this...
You should run a 4 amp slow-blow fuse. Especially if you are running WMO.
Mine keeps blowing fuses, and I can't see any stripped wires or grounded out wires.
I still need to pull the pump out and take a look at it.
I just don't want to have the truck down right now. But I have to do it soon.
Basically just BUY a blasted 6BT, it will either have that power already, or you can get it with chump change and a few minutes of work.
No need to blue-print, balance, or any other BS you keep mentioning for the 466.
Oh, and they come STOCK with a 3200 rpm redline, and can run at 2750 rpm all...
Try putting a 'slight' pressure on the fuel tank.
Slight = less then 5 psi.
Open drain on the last filter until there is no air.
Leave the pressure on and try to start the engine (I like using a little ether for this part).
I am no help for an extra pump though, I need one myself.
Which is...
Like stated, they will fit, but it isn't correct.
If driven at higher speeds you might feel it wandering more because of a more pronounced center bulge.
I put 16.00x20 Michelin XLs on stock rims. Royal PITA to get them on there! That narrow rim really makes it hard to mount them! Aired the...
Uhm, connecting rod = part that holds the piston to the crank shaft. Pretty large hunk of metal.
If this 'drops out', you usually have oil pouring out!
Push rod = part that goes between camshaft and rocker for valves. Small and long tube like rod, about 3/8" diameter, or close to that size.
You ever see what some truck shops use? I have seen one the shop had made a few decades ago.
Basically a much larger version of the slide hammer I showed.
Granted, the guy who used it was 'corn-fed' to say the least. But he made very short work of some NASTY old rims/tires that were rusted...
I would think you would bend/break that before you get some of these beads loose.
Try a slide hammer.

Or get good with a duck billed sledge hammer.
You can also use a HUGE sliding hammer to do the job.
No missing that way ;)
And they are useful for other things as well.
Expensive to buy, but pretty cheap to make.
