looking for A3 conversion specs (bodywork)

Just got all the parts back from being painted and need to drill the fenders to relocate the headlight frames. Am sure I can figure it out for myself by taking some measurements, but would sure like to take a look at the A3 modification instructions for reference...

    24v LED headlights

I bought a pair of these ones a while ago and they came with buckets that needed to be removed. Think that's what's going on. Was just a little bit confusing when I opened the box.

    24v LED headlights

Picked up a pair of these a while ago and am finally getting around to installing them. But the mounting pattern looks a lot different, compared to the stock headlights. Can anyone show/tell me how these things are supposed to be installed? Thanks.

    M101A3 enclosure dimensions

Oh, for the record - it's about 63" tall to the inside of the roof and there are a few reinforcing ribs that hang down a couple inches lower.

Should I install a gear vendors overdrive

Maybe consider something like using a bunch of air-tanks, all plumbed together. Have been collecting them for my motorhome project for a while and think I've got 8-10 of them now. They fit nicely inside the framerails and you could put a whole bunch of them under the bed in between crossmembers...

Should I install a gear vendors overdrive

Oh, and to the original poster: I've learned never to say 'no' when a client asks me if something is possible. Instead, I try to tell them what it might take to make it happen. Anything. Fly me to the moon. And 70mph in a Deuce is not that big of a deal really, even on 53" tires. It's going to...

Should I install a gear vendors overdrive

Your attitude sucks. If you want to talk tech, let's do that. But don't come in here pounding your chest like an *******. Agree with some of the criticisms you've made of that C&C truck. Posted some questions/concerns in the build-thread, then deleted most of those posts after talking to...

The A-frame kit (hoist) for M35-let's talk about it

Click the link in my last post. Was only lifting a few hundred pounds and didn't have a bed on it, so just threw some 7/8" bolts through the mounting feet and called it good. Planning on building a custom rear bumper that will stick out a little ways past the M109 box and will incorporate 1"...

The A-frame kit (hoist) for M35-let's talk about it

Finally got around to making a set of extensions for my towbar and posted about it here. Ran a chain through the lunette-eye and that worked fine, but need to figure out how to make a point to hang a pulley from. Any ideas?

    2nd alternator, 12V

Wow, you actually got a kit from Wolverine? Had a **** of a time trying to order a kit and finally gave-up.

    Power steering for the Deuce?

If I'm understanding you correctly, that's basically how a Sweet servo works. Spliced into the steering shaft and opens/closes hydraulic ports. Cheap/easy way to add hydro-assist to a vehicle with a manual steering box, and there are lots of other uses for them too.

    Power steering for the Deuce?

Oh, well yeah, I'd use that in conjunction with hydro-assist. In my case, I'd still use that 3" double-ended steering cylinder I got from PSC. Think we've figured out a pretty slick way to do this, but the guy I've been talking to about it is building a new Ultra4 racecar and has asked me not to...

    Power steering for the Deuce?

Hydraulic assist with mechanical linkage is great if that meets your needs, but the stock steering linkage doesn't work for me, for reasons that I explained earlier in this thread (and others). Oh, but there are potential benefits! By maintaining something like mechanical linkage, but using...

    Power steering for the Deuce?

There might be another option. Over on pirate we've been discussing the possibility of using something like a traditional power-steering box to operate a hydraulic cylinder (master) that would be connected with hydraulic 'steering linkage' to another hydraulic cylinder (slave) mounted on the...

best diesel engine to swap into early-model CJ5?

Yeah, I actually picked up a little Kubota V2203 not too long ago, but keep those suggestions coming. Not the only person who's going to benefit from this type of information. Tell us more about those Deutz engines.
