Looking for a fuel pump in New York

Save yourself some money, this is the same pump: https://www.carid.com/spectra-premium/mechanical-fuel-pump-mpn-sp1143mp.html?singleid=78059414 FYI: I just did this job on a friends HMMWV and there's no good way to push the fuel pump actuator pin back up into the block without removing the...

Largest Annual MV Gathering & Swap Meet in the West, Camp Plymouth April 14-19, 2020

Just checking in on the Plymouth meet. I'm the POC for the HMMWV showcase and also have had limited response as of January 10th. I'd like to invite all HMMWV owners to this showcase to display their variant of HMMWV. Every one I'm aware of in the club and the local area is different and this...

Starter Continues to Crank Until I Disconnect Battery

Your this far along I would suggest replacing the electrical bits with new ones or you'll be doing this again. Walker Truck Parts in Hesperia, Ca has the rebuild kits.

    Harris modified H-250 handsets

That connector style has been around for quite a while now so it looks like the only real difference is the bezel around the PTT switch that eliminates the metal plate and the 2 attaching screws. I love the "specially designed for use with the Falcon I, II, and III radio systems" comment.

Potential Voltage Issue? Voltage gauge jumping around.

There are a couple of things going on here. It would help to know which of the alternator/regulator systems you have in your truck because diagnosing problems changes slightly between them. Military gauges are built by the lowest bidder and aren't always of stellar quality. I've had new...

    Harris modified H-250 handsets

Does anyone on the forum know what Harris does to the H-250 to make it into their "modified" version? Is it merely removing the metal components around the PTT switch to reduce the chance of shock?

    What is it?

The WF12S05/1000Z is an un-isolated 5 Watt DC/DC converter. An ultra wide input voltage range facilitates operation from 12VDC and 24VDC battery sources. Its relatively low cost makes the WF a particularly cost effective solution for low power applications where I/O isolation is not required...

    Looking for a Wire Number

I've got LEDs as my backup lights and purposely wired them into the system so that I would have the ability to leave them off if I wanted to. I picked up the power for them from the connector for the legend lighting in the shifter. It's right there at the reverse light switch and meant I didn't...

HMMWV Hood Lift gas shock - anyone MADE one?

The problem I see with a hood raising airshock for the HMMWV is that there's no good place to put it where it wouldn't be in the way. With the hood raising to the front the shock would need to be at the same spot you need to be to access the engine compartment.

    Buzzing

I've built panels for friends that mount to the A pillar with the bolts for the door travel limiter straps alongside the dash panel that have a keyswitch and maybe 1 or 2 more switches in them for whatever they want to use them for. The keyswitch interrupts the +24v power on the 11A lead to the...

    Thermostat gasket

Today's sealants will work just as well as yesterdays gaskets so it shouldn't matter which you choose as long as the keep the coolant from leaking out. More and more manufacturers are going to form-a-gasket systems with good results so it's up to you what you use.

    Buzzing

So once again it proves that quality and cheap don't have to be mutually exclusive! After reading hundreds of posts online it seems to indicate that vehicle owners are so anxious to upgrade their trucks that they take the first part that comes along. Definitely something that a little patience...

    Hmmwv fan clutch leak

I went out and bought a nice Aeroquip quick disconnect to put into the truck and then thought about it for a while. How often do you need to disconnect the fan hydraulic line? I know it's a pain to work on but I thought some nice aircraft fittings would be a better option and went that route...

    Steering Shaft Seal

Here's a diagram on the grommet from the SINCGARS installation manual: This drawing is from the TM 11-5820-890-20-29 installation manual available for download from Radionerds.

    Coolant/heater issues?

The first thing I did when I got mine 20 years ago was to change out everything that was rubber. Belts and hoses. I flushed the entire system until I had clear water coming out and then I replaced it with a product made for diesel cooling systems. Diesels have some unique characteristics and...

    E-brake light stays on

For some reason in the back of my mind I think the switch on the brake proportioning valve will also turn on the Brake warning light but I can't see it in the schematics. This is the little 2 pin connector on the top of the brake hydraulic splitter valve. I remember having it switch to one...

Other than you will have to add wiring to adapt to the HMMWV electrical system it fits right in. Places online like Erik's surplus have the connectors.
