which end of the linkage are you refering to? the pump end should move fairly easily, may it be bent? starting is based on many factors, good compression is a must. good injectors is a must. i have almost never seem a full set of good injectors from a used engine, some just don't spray the right...
why do you want a new one? much cheaper and also much easier to just repair the one on the engine, while it is on the engine. if you still want a NEW one they are available.
john, i agree it should go to wot, but some of the ones i have owned do not, or they come off wot as soon as you start cranking. i always hold it at wot when cranking cold for faster starts.
as for the oil, there is a oil feed line from the engine to the ip and also back to the gov housing...
the gladhand at the rear is fed with 3/8" copper line, as is the port on the right of the dash. i boubt you will fand any difference since they are about the same relative distance from tanks.
you said generator, do you mean alternator? either one is easy to o/h shop around for parts, i have seen regulators on ebay for $5. any competant shop should be able to do it as parts are easy to get, but having it done for you will be $$$$. find someone near you that knows what to do. and be...
anything can be made to fit within reason, but it all requires making brackets and plumbing. you could use a five ton gasser hood and extend the frame in front for a unique look. the 6bt is possibly the best choice, but i like v8's and they are shorter so easier to fit in.
first wind chill does not matter, it does not affect vehicles, only people and animals.
IF your injectors are good and you have good batteries (300 rpm cranking) it will start right up at 20° with maybe 5 seconds cranking. hold throttle on floor when starting for max fuel injection, clutch in to...
odometer on the face, hour meter on the inside, key on top. can easily be opened with a small paperclip as a lock pick as there are only 3 disks in 'lock'
agood1,
there is no seal on the input shaft. the oil level is so much lower than the shaft and there is a close tolerance reverse thread to keep the oil in the trans in the odd event it ever gets this far. does oil expand as it gets hot?? the deuce trans typically runs at 150°F. i doubt it...
It has been generally observed that if you fill the transmission so that it drools out the plug (eg. full), it will wet the clutch, and make a mess on the cab floor when it gets hot.

of all the people i know, with vast experiance, have ever had this problem. and the people who have...
slipping the clutch is a sure way to get hot spots on the flywheel and have a grabbing clutch. not good advise. if your trans is below the filler plug, it may have been full before and not now. regardless of some thinking it should be 1" below the plug, it should not. if spicer wanted it that...
put a presssure gauge on the bleeder for filters. you should have 3-5 psi from tank pump and almost 20 psi at cranking speed. without this the ip head will not work. also a worn out ip head will not inject at cranking speed but may work above 900 - 1000 rpm. with a worn head you will get fuel to...
