Ground of one battery is not the same as ground of the other battery, just FYI. Ground of one will be +12v, and ground of the other will be actual ground. Maybe you knew this, but if not....
One smaller wire is the 12v feed to the heater blower "Low" speed fan setting. You can figure this...
I make small portable hand carry Honda powered gasoline powered 12v and 24v generators. The market has 120v generators covered. There are also diesel fuel fired coolant heaters.
But, your truck should have started. I did an -11F cold start with ether on my A2 and it started well. If your...
"Local off road shop.". Jealous. I thought of like 13 different things I would like to build with just the parts you pictured, let alone what else they have there.
Cool to see ideas take to metal. Keep going.
He's so excited, he meant to say alternator bracket. He can now now shut the truck down in any switch order withour an over-volt occurence, which otherwise typically damages the PCB, ABS module, and CTIS controller. This alternator is also not scared to charge low batteries at an idle, an...
Doubt you need that. But if it is a strong enough want, then the most economical way to get there is to run twin 100A units. Anything else will cost you exponentially higher.
Not sure this is making sense to me. A 5 ton is quite off road capable by design, so unsure what a full off road build would mean beside locker axles. If you want brute low end power, you should maybe get a 250 powered truck. Or, possibly a turned up 8.3L in low range, but don't use reverse.
Hope everybody had a good Christmas.
I have received a few questions on dash voltmeter readings after alternator replacement with non-stock units, so I took a few minutes to capture some photos of my system for reference.
The stock Leece-Neville alternator has a screwdriver adjustable...
Merry Christmas everybody. Had a good 2016, made some new friends, and looking forward to playing with all of you in 2017.
Took the 9 gift shopping as usual. The malls pile the parking lot snow up with front end loaders. It is hard to not drive 23,000lbs of turbocharged M925A2 through them...
I don't use and take back, but I don't think what he did was theft either. He paid for it, he didn't have a buddy that works there throw it into the alley and pick it up after they close. That would be theft. I just checked, and Harbor Freight has a 90 day return policy, including for items...
I don't supply the entire A/C unit. Different people want different things, so all I do is provide an easy way to put a conventional sanden ear mount compressor onto the factory 8.3L serpentine belt drive, which up until this point, was the hardest part. I knocked down that barrier, and now it...
Compressor maps probably hate you too.
I have this strange image of you tangled up in a paper road map, trying to fold it, while in a sub-compact car, overflowing with returnable cans and lots of things on the dashboard.
infidel, buy two 3 groove pulleys, cut 2 grooves off of one, and have them TIG welded to the other 3 groove pulley. Just don't pull yourself out from under the car using the floor jack handle.
