Welcome from Tennessee. This is a great place for information and parts. The people here are top notch too. I've met several in my quest for a truck and everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful.
Here's a couple more beauty shots once I got the auction labels removed and license plate mounted. I will close this thread and move discussions over to the "present conflict / LMTV" section as I start upgrades, etc.
I like the LED turns and tails. You're going to build a nice workhorse! Are these interchangeable with others I see for sale on classifieds? Or, is something different needed for FMTV/LMTV's?
Now that I'm thinking about lights. Is there an easy LED swap for headlights? Only Suprman knows...
Yeah, that brush guard is neat. I've never seen one like that before. Can you tell if it is a "one off" home made job? Maybe someone here knows of others like this and has a background on them.

I was looking at used Toyota Tacoma 4x4 trucks and most of them in the 1998-2004 year range were $10-$15K with 200,000 miles. I spent less money, on a more capable truck with less miles and MORE capacity. Many have asked, "What will you do with that?!?". Like Oxyacetaline stated, I plan to drive...
Falls Creek Falls is beautiful. We were actually purchasing and bringing home the truck this past weekend while your event was taking place. We will consider it next year. It sounds really fun! Did you run the M1078? Or one of your Unimogs?
I found out my wife collected a few photos from "chase vehicle" perspective during the recovery yesterday. She may be coming around! Hopefully... She is still feeling under the weather, so I was not able to get her out for a ride today.
That's good advice Mark. I've been grabbing the fan every time I raise the cab. It's solid and I hope it stays that way!
Also, I was trying to understand your air buzzer comment, then realized the hole under the speedo is likely supposed to contain a visual warning (light). The buzzer still...
