Would LOVE to have something like that in Mah Deuce. Ended up installing all those things separately anyway. One case where I didn't do enough research before diving into things...
Thanks hoopsoft, read the whole thread about your setup. You know, one thing I didn't understand was the guy's comment about the way you have those cables attached, he said something about it doubling the load/force? But it looks like you have it set up pretty much how the TM says to connect the...
I've got one of these 3000 watt pure sine inverters in Mah Deuce. Going to have a bank of deep-cycle batteries onboard, and a multitude of ways to charge them. There will be a 2nd 12-volt alternator mounted on the engine, one or two small generators (something like Honda EU2000's), solar...
I've got a medium adjustable towbar now, and also picked up two extra short-side towbar legs (inner and outer halves), thinking that I'll cut the ends off these and use them to extend the towbar to make a taller A-frame. Make sense?
Still wondering about the best way to attach the towbars at...
Well RACOR doesn't even recommend the filters that it looks like those guys are using for this type of application, so yeah, I'd guess their kit isn't going to give the best results. The link to the water-seperating filter that I'm going to be using in addition to the turbine filters however...
I follow you, but I'm going to plumb the fuel lines so that I can filter fuel in a closed-loop too (to keep the fuel in both tanks clean/dry when the vehicle is parked for extended periods of time), so I do want to be able to direct the return line to either tank. Thanks for sharing your...
Looks like they're using a smaller version of the same Racor Turbine filters that I'm using? Great filters, but:
...and so far, this is all I'm planning on using as a pre-filter (as I fill the tank):
That's a good idea about the dummy caps, but I don't think it would make too much sense to make them an integral part of these hubsteps. Simple/separate sheetmetal part might be better in this case. Could definitely have some of those made though if there's any interest. If you want to cut some...
I can see how a chain-drive would help offset the hydraulic adapter to clear the radiator or whatever, but how are you picturing that working on a deuce? Sorry, I just haven't been around many hydraulic systems, and I'm trying to figure out exactly what you're talking about.
Maybe it's just me, but the few fastenals that I've been to have had a piss-poor selection of hardware (worse than Ace) and their prices are much higher than what I'd pay for similar specialty hardware online (including shipping). I'm all for quality, but not price gouging.
Sorry for the delay. Being told that they've been having problems with their laser all month, and have been promised that hubsteps will ship by the end of this week. Thanks for your patience, to those of you that have been waiting.
