bjorn, i can tell you without checking that there is no voltage drop accross the switch as there is no heat sink in the unit. i also know that the military brains that specced this switch neglected to request that it be static proof, so it is not. it fact it is very sensitive to static until it...
14.5r20 is used on the m35a3, 3/16 toe in. if you install power steering it might be wise to flip the caster shims, this will require drilling new pin holes but makes steering geometry much better. (versus manual steering that needs more negative caster)
your air filter monitor should be of some use here. i put a very sensitive vacuum gauge on mine with a dirty filter and got no reading at all. i wonder if ernie is comparing a ldt with low fuel rate to a lds with high fuel rate, it would be a big difference.
i fail to see how the air filter could be a problem, it is the same engine. the lds just has slightly better piston cooling and possibly more boost. (mine didn't have any more boost than ldt) i have long maintained i can turn up a ldt and have the same power. just because the ip is sealed...
RE: Re: RE: This can
the oil filter can sits in a groove which will carry the coolant around from the other side. if coolant could come out so easily, imagine what the oil would do under 70 psi. clean around the cans with air before you remove them and with them off you can see the oil cooler...
RE: This can
why would you think there is coolant in the oil? your picture shows coolant on the outside of the engine, not inside. just because it is at the base of the filters means nothing other than the coolant pipe behind the filters is probably leaking. common for them to rust out, they...
the deuce trans does not have lockouts between the shift rails so this can happen easily when the shifter parts are worn as most of them are. take the top off, move forks back to neutral, put cover back on and shift more carefully until you get new parts or a good used top cover.
every dealer has their high and low prices, many 3053 parts are cheap and some are not cheap. it is just a matter of calling the half dozen or so that like to deal with the collectors. i can supply quite a few for much less than most dealers, such as bearings, syncros, mainshafts and some gears.
i have about 1600 miles on a .71 set. without some real scientific research i would equate it to a stock gear set in a truck with stock fuel settings versus this higher od set in a truck with the fuel turned up. in other words higher ratio but more power sort of cancels itself out. also with the...
