if you have hyd power steering read this

after several conversions to power steering using the saginaw 710 box, i wanted to solve the problem of the steering not really wanting to return to center and not tracking well at highway speeds. i used a magnetic caster/camber gauge to check things and found that the stock caster was -3/4...

Any one else want a .52 over drive? Less than a grand?!

the sides of the hood i have are more straight, but not that much. you would have to do something creative with the grill or use the 5 ton grill, i don't remember what it looks like. i would think you would want to extend the frame behind the winch so the winch and everything moved forward...

Any one else want a .52 over drive? Less than a grand?!

input gears of 34 teeth driving 36 is a reduction (small into large) large driving small is an increase. so 36 divided by 34 = 1.0588 as the ratio as in 1.059 to 1. once you have the ratios, just multiply them all to geather. by the way if you are looking to put an intercooler in front of the...

Any one else want a .52 over drive? Less than a grand?!

ratios are: 1:1.065, .70:1, 1:1.056, .70:1 just multiply them out and you get total od of .546, quite a bit what is the radius of the tires and max rpm you would run at and i will give you top speed. (it will be way over 100 mph)

Any one else want a .52 over drive? Less than a grand?!

3053 stock is .79 od, don't know where people get the .85 from............... in my former millenium reo with .66 od, 3000 rpm turned the shafts at 4545 which with stock tires was 74 mph. the 4600 ref was just from my partially dead brain. i am putting the trans in my current truck back...

    Deuce Plastic Fuel Lines

lee, i disagree. just use the brass sleeve and plastic ferrule used on plumbing tubing. do not overtighten. the advantage of air brake line is that it is nylon inside, has reinforcing strands for high pressure and has a uv coating on outside.

Any one else want a .52 over drive? Less than a grand?!

don't forget that you will have problems with the transfer when you turn it that fast. over 65 mph or so you will need to go to 50 wt oil. when i ran mine at 70 + the 90 wt would foam and come out all the seals (new) i was turning the drive shafts at 4600 rpm

    Deuce Plastic Fuel Lines

Any one else want a .52 over drive? Less than a grand?!

hr are you saying that with the 12% in the rear box the total od is near 50%? as in .66? count the teeth and figure what the total really is. .66 or more would require some serious power, as in something other than a multifuel.

    Deuce Mileage?

RE: Re: RE: Deuce Millage? cbvet, 10 is normal so i would say yours is a good candidate for injectors that are not spraying a mist as they should. i would think you would see more black smoke than most people also. timing could be an important issue also and is very easy to check.

    radiator cap pressure

using a 15 lb cap will seriously damage the radiator, even blow the top seam completely apart. not a pretty thing.

    redoing the M35A2 headgasket

be sure it is not weeping at the vents, the small bits of gasket that stick out and there are 6 of them. this is normal. if you only have some seepage somewhere else i would still consider leaving it alone unless it becomes a real leak. i would not resurface the heads unless they need it, some...

    Deuce Mileage?

RE: Deuce Millage? should get 10 mpg on diesel, any less probably indicates dirty injectors. at $3.50 / gal i would fix them
