Two other suggestions...
1) I use a 6' section of pipe to increase my leverage. As long as the breaker bar has not been bent, it always breaks them loose. When a breaker bar has been bent, it is weakened and is much more likely to bend again when really stressed.
2) 3/4" impact :-D
Good luck!
While the canvas definitely has that traditional smell and look, the vinyl is really much better. I am not sure which tops you have seen, but I bought a solid green vinyl top from GMA that looked great on my M817.
The thing to remember is that the M818 is NOT a road tractor. It was designed to spend 80% of its life off-road. Off-road means slow speeds. It has plenty of power to pull any reasonable load at slow speeds off-road. It sounds like the truck served you well.
That just means they wanted to get paid BEFORE you are allowed to retrieve your prize. No way the holdup was going to impact them getting paid. They were getting paid one way or the other...and I can only hope that your delay is coming to an end.
My friend, I hope you don't have to take it that far, but, if they have to rue the day, I think you will be doing the rest of a us a great service. They push until someone threatens to bite. I have been threatened by a manager with default...UNTIL I POINTED OUT I WAS STILL WITHIN THE PICK-UP...
I have had many dealings with TNJ Murray and have always found John Murray to be a great guy with whom to deal. I have not purchased any heaters from him, but I have bought a lot of other parts and have been very satisfied.
I read this thread a while back and only started reading the more recent posts today. As I read the entire thread, I started thinking about somethings that MUDGUPPY and FLIGHHT2K5 are alluding to...namely that people don't like new things. They are always distrustful of a replacement item when...
Does the M915 have the 5 speed Allison or the 16 speed semi-automatic CAT transmission? That may make a difference. I believe the M915A1s had the Allison transmission.
I have owned quite a few M939A2s and I never had any difficulty starting them in cold weather and I never noticed any unnusual sounds. I usually hit it with just a tad of starting fluid while I am cranking and it starts up all the time no matter the temperature. Admittedly, it does not get as...
Matt, that looked great! Great looking tractor, too! Thanks for sharing. You looked like you were enjoying yourself. Let me know if I can help with the PM when you return!
That was what I was trying to find out. I was unsure. I get jokes...ha ha ha. I could go back and look at my previous posts. I don't commit them to memory. I assume I must have called you out previously. If I did, I honestly did not do so to piss you or anyone off. I HATE doing it. I...
TODDS112: Still not sure if you are joking or calling me out with the winky emoticon. I suggest you contact a mod if you feel that I have acted inappropriatedly or if the original poster screwed up. I have directly asked you a question. If you question me, say it plainly. If you agree with...
If SEPHIROTHQ has some trucks for sale right near you, I'd check his inventory out. I can tell you that his prices are reasonable from past listings, especially for a truck that you can test drive. PM him for details.
TODDS112, I am not sure if you are calling me out or joking. I am not the site police. We have mods for that. I comment if I see something...usually. To be truthful, I hold my tongue more often than not because I don't feel like dealing with the people who want to debate about following the...
Years ago, that was a desirable truck (I am referring to a really long time ago...way before I came into the hobby). Richard Green used to tell me that, when he first came into the hobby in the 70s, you had to take 3-4 M35A2s to make one and they came out in worse shape. Most guys on this list...
I am not sure what they eventually do with them, but I have seen some items come back up. There was a rough M105A2 at Meade that came up at least twice in the last year.
