Has anyone priced paint recently? Prices are insane

. Agreed. Back in the day there was Dupont Imron and it was the best thing there was for painting cars with a nice shine (IMO). That was NOT cheap stuff!

    Exhaust heat wrap

. Summit Racing has plenty of it for the intended purpose. Not sure if you are trying to keep the heat in on the exhaust system - OR - if you are trying to protect a short length of brake line that runs close to the exhaust. Only concern I would have is protecting a brake line could...

    M998 turbo conversion

. Nice and hefty! I never got around to getting one of those pickers. I still have my A-Frame made out of 4 inch round pipe. I inherited it from my uncle, so I painted it and upgraded from the manual chain-fall to and electric. Pulled many a motor with it... • I don't have my old scope...

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

. Wow!! That is a FIRST CLASS cooker! You just can't beat having a woman that loves to cook.

    FLU419 Front loader

. Roll the bucket to max forward, Lift and have at it. (EDIT: Properly set check valves should not allow the bucket to lift the front of the FLU) Thanks @Speedwoble You should bring some (get some) blocks to hold up the truck - in case of a hydraulic failure. You don't want to die because you...

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

. I thought BBQ's beef was the only choice in the great state of Texas. Somehow, I had visions of Sesame Beef (no chicken), Beef Lo Mein, Beef Egg Roll, Teriyaki Beef, Beef Fried Rice, Beef Rice Soup, Beef Noodle Soup, Sweet & Sour Beef, Beef & Broccoli, Kung Po Beef, Szechuan Beef, Hunan...

What did you do to your trailer today.

. Neat! An old railroad cart... Or at least the four that I have came from there. From over on Tryon Street many many moons ago. I never saw what they used to drag the carts around with on the rail platform. Nice vice setup! If you end up going to a saw mill, I have found over the years...

Rebuilding after 15 years of storage

. That is true of even the better cars these days. Everything is maid out of beer cans and held together with bubblegum and bailing wire.

Advice needed - new guy with MEP004A

. Nice to know! I have used gas the same way - but the possible hazard for that isn't going to happen with soapy water! Same purpose. Never thought about soapy water. THANKS for the tip!

Advice needed - new guy with MEP004A

. Wow. It is 79 with 69% humidity and I had been grumbling about hot and sticky today when I was out delivering packages... Seems to me that it is too early for that - but spring doesn't seem to be but a few weeks long now days. I'v noticed that the yellow jackets and wasps around here are...

Advice needed - new guy with MEP004A

. Wow! Wonder if it is laying time? At this time of the year maybe? .

    M201b1 1962 revival.

. That takes skill... Looks like a nice job too!

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

. visualg , That valve... Depending on being able to see more could be a fuel cutoff or a three-way valve for a second fuel tank.

Increasing the air intake in a deuce

. Yeah, and back in our day - if you got caught doing something you shouldn't have - you might get the board of education treatment at school and another one when you got home!

    New member in ohio

. Well you've already been greeted by several of the guys and I am happy to hear that you joined our little group. Now that you are a member, you have access to the TM's when you need them. Happy hunting and remember that you don't have to buy the first one you find... The Green Disease runs...

MEP 803A smoke after oil change

. It is electric rather than a mechanical gauge. I would think maybe you have a faulty gauge or sending unit - OR maybe a bad ground possibly?

    Availability of TQG's

. Even automobiles don't like gas made with corn squeezins. Turns out with very little reading, using the corn that our government is turning into alcohol and then forcing it into fuel is not good stewardship of national resources either. (Off Soapbox)

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

. Remember - Out of sight, Out of mind. Even keyed, if your switch can be seen by the casual observer your cutoff is worth less than hidden (worth less not worthless!). Remember too that your switch needs to be high amperage to turn off those batteries. A normal car might have a 500 to 700...

    Sf97 latest time frame

. AND the really sad part is that they don't give a flying DA#% either.

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

. That is one gorgeous looking truck... I know it is supposed to be a utility type vehicle, but it looks pretty darn sharp to me.
