Right now the end of one side is bent and when the rivet moves below the bend it flops over. It works find and will probably get some heat shrink or electrical tape to hold it up but I would like to get an undamaged one. I will hold on to the damaged one as a spare. I think the correct antenna...
I may be wrong, but I think only the dana 44 models were full time and the dana 60 models in the front were part time. All the 3/4 tons I have seen have had the beefed up Dana 44 for the front axle. Basically just bigger brakes and eight lug hub. The shafts and u-joint were the same in a couple...
Can you read any of the stuff molded into the rubber part right at the end of the tape? Not the top of the antenna but at the bottom of the tape section. The small rubber piece transitions from the flat tape to the round threaded part that connects to the adapter. Your adapter is different so I...
I could not find the antenna on Murphy's website but I will contact them to be sure.
Sermis
That probably is the antenna. It is like a tape measure approx 1/2 inch wide and about 2.5 feet long. The end has a rubber base and threaded stud. The rubber part is marked Antenna at-982/prc-25...
I got a PRC-25 (PRC-77 like) but the flexible ribbon antenna is toast. It is an antenna AT-892 if I remember right. It looks like Fair Radio does not have them. Anyone know where I could get a replacement. One of the joints on mine is bent up and will not allow the antenna to stand straight up...
I second. The positrac is a GM name for limited slip. The positrack and other limited slip use clutch plates and springs to control the spin. You check the clutch packs by seeing how much torque it takes to spin one side while the other is on the ground with the other jack up. Not an expert. I...
If you guys want pics I can try to take and post later. Mine legs came with the straps and holders. My straps are probably later straps as they are nylon instead of canvas. I will try to get some pics later.
I had a short in the back were the harness goes up to the tail lights behind the bumper. I would check there 1st. I had lights except the headlights blow when I put on the brakes. Naturally the brake light feed was the one shorting to ground.
The only way to remove them is to grind them off. Even then an acid solution will still show what the numbers were unless a lot of material was removed. When the number is stamped in it makes the metal under the characters slightly more dense. This allows he acid solution to bring the numbers...
I had little trouble pulling mine home with my cucv but I kept the speed down on corners. It would seriously overload your brakes on your S-10. Borrow a full size truck or rent on from Uhaul or Lowes.
I have two that I have not been able to play with yet. I have a smaller gen that uses much less gas and powers most of what I need so the big ones are not a priority right now. I would go for it for a couple of hundred. Just the trailer is worth it for that much. The two should be on an M103...
