No. They don't realize that a small # of the trucks out there have a recessed allen drain plug. The majority of the trucks out there have a 1/2" square, but a few have the hex style.
I can't remember what size it is.
We have discussed the Kia built Reo copies several times. They have an M816 copy, an M715 copy, the aforementioned M35 copy and it seems like there was one other model.
All very similar visually but with more modern engines, trannies, etc...

I have a friend at a machine shop who checked them for flatness and mildly resurfaced them by hand just so the gasket could get a good bite. I did not actually put the head on a machine and "officially" surface it.
You definitely want to check it for flatness.
If it's flat, you can risk...
Never gotten a good headcount, but last year we had 86 trucks and estimated 3-400 people.
I don't think 100 trucks and 500 people is out of the question this year.
