Deuces and 5 tons are different-there is no "interim" 5 ton in between WWII stuff and the M39. Deuce = WWII = CCKW Interim (Korea) = GMC (Early deuce forum) Later = Reo (M44, G742) 5 ton = WWII = All the weird stuff like Federals, Macks, IH, etc. Then they jump straight into the M39 series...

There is much discussion on 3053's leaking out the front. Do a search in the deuce forum for "seal AND knuckle", I'll bet that will pull up all the tranny leaking threads.

I see them on eBay and at swap meets. Most I'd pay for a used GI one is about $15. $20 with a good strap.
