Have you looked at the thimbles to see if they show L or R? I've seen hubs installed on the wrong side before. Please confirm this before breaking something. If you plan on running a 1" impact, it really is best if it has half inch hose from tank to gun. Running it direct from truck air...
Depending on the voltage of the tool, there is another option. Years back I bought a Rigid 18V drill and subsequently a recip saw. The batts failed fast and the lifetime service agreement was a lifetime hassle. The tools went to the out of service box then I had a brainstorm. I gutted a battery...
These things used to be the rage a few years back. I had and sold several. I'd bet quite a few folks still use them. I no longer use one. With the advancements in cordless technology over the last few years, they are now capable of the same job. I cut the cord and airhose on my small powertools.
The TM is the technical manual. They are broke down by suffix. The -10 is the operators manual. Not sure what we have here on site or exactly what the whole TM number is. BTW, welcome aboard from N GA.
That truck or one like it has popped up in the past. The bed is a deuce bed heavily modded. I like it from the front and side but not the back. I agree that its worth more with an original bed but if that one works, go for it. Can always make an offer, the market isn't flooded with $10,000...
After reviewing the original post and watching a bunch of stuff on Doc, I went back and watched the Nova special on the Kee Bird. It's still heartbreaking and an avoidable accident. For all we know, it's firey death may have saved lives. That was a bold initiative he had...
It's super cool. Photograph the heck out of it and go slow when sanding to see what other markings show up. Did you find any brass data plates added anywhere? Too cool.
From back of cab to center of axles is exactly 12" shorter than the cargo truck. TM43-0001-31 may have the critical dimensions. I don't have it on my phone to check for you.
20 hundred is plenty fast with the big ole tires you run. Glad you got to put a smile on your face. Since you beat the silly snot out of that truck, you might reconsider the washers as a secondary retention device..When you twist it up off road those links are going to twist on the rubber and...
Adding more tires may not accomplish what you desire. Max tire inflation might. I'm sure COG changed but not that much. An anti sway bar could be added pretty easily or if you want to lower COG, add a spare or two underneath like rustystud did. 340# hanging under the frame really sucks it down.
Couple of things to consider on your project. The M275 has a foot shorter wheelbase. As such, the original spare tire hoist and fuel tank will not work. Neither is a deal breaker but if you want it to appear factory, start shopping for an M275, M47 or M59 parts truck. Being a tractor, the...
Sorry Tim. While I really appreciate the level of work going into this machine, the thought of working in 100° weather makes my teeth itch. I'm dreading going back to FL to tidy up details on the house sales. Can't imagine the personal he77 of working in a hundred degree shop.
