Good to know. It didn't do it until I removed the winch driveshaft. I suppose it is just rotating because of the gear oil film strength between the disengaged parts.
Somewhat uncommon, but I have seen it more than a few times. Just think, those parts go pretty much unlubricated from the time they leave the assembly line. Now, imagine how many times those parts have actuated even before you got the truck.
If it was my daily driver I would take the column apart and remove the wheel lock pawl. I have done it on all my previously owned civilian vehicles after having one lock up on me turning a corner. I HATE steering wheel locks. If someone wants to steal your vehicle a wheel lock isn't going to...
You will never get park brake shoes to wear evenly. They just aren't that well designed. They work great as long as there is some material left on the shoes and they are properly adjusted, they just weren't designed to be adjusted to wear evenly because they aren't a service brake. Slap a new...
Reinstalled my heater, serviced all three axles, transfer case, fixed a few oil leaks, changed engine oil, greased everything again, replaced the leaking brake master cylinder, adjusted my idle speed a little higher, started to service the winch and found the input shaft seal completely unseated...
I know, but not everyone that looks at the site does. That's all I'm saying. You guys are all good people, I don't want to see any stupid stuff happen to anyone because of some lighthearted joking online. You can't be too careful with what you say in public places anymore, even when joking...
Not a bad way to go, but I went to the led lights to drop my amperage draw on my electrical system. That's really the only reason I did it, I was fine with the lighting of the originals. I'm not hard to please though.
Well, they are half that now. $199 each. I don't know, maybe having the military connectors doubles the price. If I have another failure with the trucklite headlights I'll buy a pair of the speakers and try them out.
Good to know. I'll give that a shot just as soon as I get the right belt... Ordered a water pump belt and TNJ sent me two power steering belts instead...
I picked up a 934A0 for a fella and the water pump was locked up. I've got the new pump, but I was not aware that a tool was required to rotate the pump in order to tighten the belt. Anyone got one they could mail to me, and I'll send it back in short order? I don't want to buy one, probably...
I was at NAPA today and was informed by the counter man that they now sell led headlights like the ones on my truck. He showed me a sale brochure and, as it turned out they were the JW speaker headlights. They are the 7" round multivolt lights. They don't have the military wire connectors, but...
