WTB: Exhaust parts for LD4651C motor (non-turbo)

By the way, thanks guys for the responses. I will be back in touch about the parts. John Winslow is letting me know exactly what I need to replace.

WTB: Exhaust parts for LD4651C motor (non-turbo)

Kenny, it is a fairly clean 4 color truck. I really like the 4 color camo and this is a fairly original example. The truck runs really well.

    Maryland SS Chapter

I would be up for either meeting at Neil's place of the Frederick event.

WTB: Exhaust parts for LD4651C motor (non-turbo)

Does anyone know where I can locate replacement parts for the exhaust system on my naturally aspirated M109A3 (e.g., muffler, exhaust J pipe, etc.)? Thanks!

How long have you owned M809 series trucks?

I was replying to another thread about M809 series trucks and it caused me to think about exactly when I bought my first M809 series truck. I bought my first M813A1 from DRMO Lakehurst in March of 1999. Before that time, I almost never saw M809 series trucks come up for sale. I had never seen...

    Plastic batter box

Call some of the big dealers. They definitely have them. You'll pay for them, though. By the way, a lot of people don't know that the M809 series battery boxes work on a deuce. You just have to move the handles, etc from the side of the box to the front of the box. I've seen guys selling...

    Maryland SS Chapter

I'm in. Saturdays are best for me (I have baby detail on Sunday), but I could make a Sunday work, too.

You have made your decision. Go for it. Don't forget your tags and insurance.

You are getting ready to drive a truck that weighs 29,000 pounds or so...and you are driving a 5 ton for the first time, or so it sounds like. Do yourself a favor...have the truck shipped. I bet that truck would drive out...and I know that thought is what tempts you. However, the time to...

    M35 truck value

I'd be astounded if you get $1,500 as it sits. Don't get me wrong...the truck is worth that. It is just that most guys would rather gamble that a truck on GL is a good runner rather than buy a truck with known problems. As others have said, you have more than $1,500 in it in parts. You might...

    Fort Indiantown Gap, Weekend

It sounds like a cool event. If I remember correctly, they only really want vintage vehicles on the premises. I have never been...but this is what I've been told by people who have attended. I'd check first...

I agree with NDT. It is more cool to drive the truck out. It is much safer to have the truck shipped home. I would have it shipped. My suggestion...people need to factor the cost of shipping a truck into the equation when they buy a truck. Too often guys think they'll save money by driving...

    old vs new value

The newer trucks are worth more to the average collector. Eventually, people may place a higher value on a truck that is original and has not been upgraded. However, today, people are paying large sums for mid-80s deuces because they are the newest (excluding the A3s) and presumably will have...

Aberdeen 2009 - Deadline for preregistration SOON!!!

Not sure if my intel is correct...and, perhaps, it is not...but I was told by a friend that you had to have your money in (or possibly post marked) by January 15th. The guy coordinating my spots within the SteelSoldiers area told me this. As I said, I did not receive the paperwork so you know...

    Diesel heater vs. coolant heater

On the M35A3, the heater was moved inside the cab. I did not know why, although I assumed it had to do with space under the hood. Now, I believe it might have been for the reason that HAMMER mentions.

Is a CUCV Noisy & Smoky?

Unless your CUCV smokes more than most, I don't think they smoke much and the same goes for the noise factor. I will say that an M1009 that I used to have would seriously carry on if it was really cold out. It sounded like it had a few bolts loose in the motor until it got warm.

    Fort Lewis Recovery

Keith, if it helps, you can find the mud flap kits on eBay...but they are expensive. If you cannot locate it, call me. I understand your frustration.

    Fort Lewis Recovery

By the way, the mud flap kits are around...but they are pricey. I believe they are in the several hundred dollar range.

    Fort Lewis Recovery

Keith...the "what else is missing now" thought crosses my mind every time I buy from GL and my truck sits on their lot. I feel badly for you. Someone else helped themselves to your mudflaps because they liked them and wished they were on their tractor. If it bothers you that much, contact GL...

    Fort Lewis Recovery

Keith, it sure does look like the mud flaps are gone. That sucks. You can try to contact GL...but they will only let you back out of the sale if you choose to do so...no compensation...or at least no one one here has reported positive compensation.
