I have a suggestion. Why don't you just buy another end rack. You are correct...the headboard is the same as the end rack. They are cheap...dime a dozen. I've seen them for $40 or slightly more for wood. A bit higher for fiberglass...
A lot of guys believe the mileage more than their eyes. Just because it says 2,400 miles does not mean it is so. I've seen plenty of CUCVs on many sales. It seems to me as though those with the lowest miles go for the most money. I remember an M1009 in DE a while back. The description said...
Cheap is a relative word and not often applied to a cargo cover and bows. I've never seen bows cheaper than $10 each and they were really rough...useable, but rough. The cargo cover...even a rough one is worth $100. Most bows go in the $20/each range. Figure you are going to spend at least $200.
I am not sure, but I could have sworn that Winslow told me that the 5 ton sprag works in all gears while the deuce sprag only works in first and reverse. My memory is a bit foggy on that but this is what I recollect.
I have only had one cleanable filter in all the trucks I've had...at least I don't think the majority were cleanable. The one filter that was reusable was a ceramic type just as described above by JASONJC. It was the first time I had seen one so I pulled it and replaced it with a stock mil-spec...
Mark, I would think this will seriously hurt his (APB's) business. I am not sure how much overhead he has, or how many of the various parts/kits he sells, but this may lead him to close up shop. He most likely won't sell a power steering kit for a while. I actually thought he might go hard for a...
MBA, I would consider a wooded headboard. Can you PM me a pic or two? I was just thinking that the fiberglass is better for obvious reasons...but it also is better because the paint actually sticks to it. I figured I'd aim high since I will have to pay to have it shipped. I am would definitely...
I love the wreckers. I own an M936A2. As crazy as this sounds, though, the wrecker is one of the worst vehicles with which to tow (unless you are towing with the M984 HEMTT wrecker...or possibly the MTVR wrecker). The M543/M62, M816 and M936 are not very efficient tow vehicles because they...
Absolutely outstanding! Thank you for sharing these pics. If you need any detail shots, I am sure the guys on this list will be more than willing to help out! My suggestions for future models:
USMC MTVR
MW24C Case loader
Freightliner M917A1 dump (my true dream truck!)
If everything works, $2,500 is not a bad price. I agree with the posters who suggest that you should see if you can get it running fairly easily. If you can see that the truck runs well, drives and stops, and the dump bed raises and lowers properly, that truck is DEFINITELY worth $2,500 or...
They went cheaper than I thought, but still will be over $600 once shipping and the dreaded site tax are added (8.75% tax...that is correct...OK state tax and OK city tax). That means the prices are actually 18.75% higher plus shipping. I think you guys still did OK, though. It was way too...
