I have just obtained photos of the DATA PLATE(S) on this wrecker.
Unfortunately, the resolution is poor and therefore the printing is not legible.
. .
If anyone can play with the resolution and/or contrast to make out the actual model, serial number, registration number, etc. please feel...

The write up says that several deck crewmen were injured when the cable snapped and presumably recoiled in their direction.

Ryan,
I suggest looking at the MEMBER MAP (see buttons in the header at the top of every SS Forum webpage) and then send PMs to those members near you... especially if their profiles indicate they have a capable vehicle and/or tow bar.
Hope you find your way there.

Welcome aboard :-D Find a bunk, stow your gear, and prepare to get underway :driver:
Congrats on your new MV and on the awesome father/son time over your recovery journey.
By the way.... You probably should update your location in your User Profile. Website RULES require we be at least STATE...
Contact some of your local CABINET MAKERS/SHOPS who MAKE there cabinetry. Politely explain your project so you aren't mistaken as a potential competitor, then ask them from where they source their hardwoods. They might even be able to mill the wood to your required dimensions at a reasonable...
We're making progress !
I spoke that a "point of contact" for this wrecker today!
He's a very nice, enthusiastic veteran, seemingly knowledgeable of MVs in general and this truck in particular.
I'm told that this truck last ran about 2-1/2 years ago. He believes that with a set of fresh...
Thanks for posting up the B-52 link.
As y'all may recall: I work at a funeral home a pre-arrange funerals for those planning their final needs. I had the distinct privilege yesterday to visit with an 82-year-old, 24-year USAF veteran. He served his entire career as a B-52 Tail Gunner. He...
Speaking of organic stuff to make it shine.....
I was pouring WVO (Waste Veggie Oil) into the fuel tank of the Deuce and slipped causing a significant spill. While I was going to fetch some hot water and Dawn Dish Soap to clean up the fuel tank, Soldier B, who hadn't been with me for the...
Multi-Fuel. I like that. We happen to have a spare MF still in the can that we got when we won our Deuce at auction.
IF.... and I must emphasize - IF it is "for sale" the Multi-Fuel would simplify any maintenance learning curve and spare parts inventories.
Got it.
Thanks.
Huh.
I don't remember saying it was FOR SALE.
I know that "everything is for sale for a price." But whose saying that old lady is for sale?

Have a blessed day.
Thanks for that.
OliveDrab mentions only difference between M62 vs M543 was boom configuration, but it seems the air breather and spare tire mount vary too.
Thanks, BigMike!
Also, the M543 pics at OliveDrab.com show the front bumper mounted vise in only one shot. The base plate seems to have been standard equipment, but the vise seems seldom present. (maybe a high theft item??? LOL)
Thanks again.
