I always start with old fluid and internal thermostat, but agree that you need to start basic and then work outwards.
When you hear hooves, think horses, not zebras.

Not what you were looking for a holiday present.
Me thinks the least painful thing is to buy a new engine, but only AFTER you check the tranny, transfer case, axles, pumpkins, etc...
OUCH!

The lights look good.
When you post with TAPATALK the pics disappear. That is why it is against TOS.
Please consider properly uploading the pics to the site so they don't disappear in the future.
Ejoy your new visibility and ability to see at night.
Subscribed but I'm also considering using your diagrams to make a breadboard circuit board to fit into a box.
Just bought 12 pin connector and once wired I will buy 7 pin connector.
I also will avoid wiring for electric brakes until I need it. Currently just a 4x8 trailer with GVW about 1800lb.
Understood and thanks.
I think a few of the guys made it clear that front braking is a huge issue. Brakes on HMMWV's/M998's DON'T work the way most vehicles work. You disconnect a driveshaft and you disconnect brakes. Dangerous, and that is part of why I abandoned.
The other reason I abandoned...
Sounds difficult and potentially dangerous. If you link into 4WD and forget you’re in HIGH you will break things.
Nah, I’m done with trying to figure out 2WD
Thanks though!

I just received a warning about posting a link to a "Buy It Now" (not an auction) on the FleaBay site, so I might avoid posting links to Amazon and such. A link to exact same item from what I believe to be the same vendor on the vendor website was apparently OK to post.
I don't entirely...
I would just go to the classified section and contact a site vendor for the correct part, after confirming the starter is dead with my instructions above.
MHO...YMMV
Site sponsor sell them, as well as FleaBray.
Try asking Retired War Horses / RTH.
Search his profile and his contact info is there. He has lots of stuff and is very forthright.
Looks like I will be ordering. For less than 300 clams I might prevent issues for myself AND OTHERS by preventing runaway wheel assembly. Thanks Dock Rocker and Patracy!
[EDIT - 377 clams including shipping. Just ordered!]
