Well then... Welcome to the Outfit!
Post up some pictures of your ride and get the rest of us excited to see what you've got. There are lots of places to post. HMMWV's, 5-Tons, Deuces, Generators, Trailers... Figure out what category you fit in and show off your stuff!
There is a pretty...

Welcome to the outfit!
Hiperflyer2 I have to admit that you are not going to get much of an answer out of me... I am a truck guy and not a power making guru like several folks on this site. Just answering up to say congratulations on your new piece of green iron.
By now you should have...

@kendelrio was talking about " when a corporal told me to go tell the Gunnery Sergeant I needed a prick E-7 ".
Meaning that he was referring Marine Corps pay grade E7.
And, I imagine that either the Gunny exploded - or he followed the trail back to the sender of the request...

Agreed @pigpen60 !
There is a pin. It can be locked. MY personal opinion is Don't Do It! Broken parts will result from forcing the tongue...
Backing is possible if you proclaim expert status backing a normal trailer. It is NOT and easy task. Paying attention, noticing immediately when the...

Welcome to the outfit!
Happy to hear that you changed the oil and filters. The fuel in the tank has been there for several years most likely. These trucks sit out in the desert (in your part of the country) for years while the military decides on their final disposition. Military JP8 that...

I hate to hear that...
I guess there are those in law enforcement who have to inject their opinion - rather than simply enforcing the laws.
Maybe your guy missed out on the classroom skills about Protect and Serve.
The part about interpersonal skills didn't "stick" when it was taught...

White Owl in Kenston NC is another possibility for older parts and equipment.
They know and understand these trucks well enough to talk by phone and help you get the right parts.
.
Just adding my thoughts too.
Hope you get better - and don't hesitate to "go see the saw bones" if you don't improve soon.
I would almost as soon take a beating as a trip to the doc, but sometimes you just have to go deal with 'em.

The sending unit could be bad.
Might even be a bad gauge or a bad ground to it.
Sad to say that the gauges are not really known for their high quality...

The "out front" without a winch is a heck of a plan. It puts the Tow Bar near where it is needed.
I have a couple of pictures of ideas on how others have solved the problem...
The small Pintle is a nice way to hang the "ring" where it can't "get away from you" and could be locked with...

Depending on the manufacturer, a lot of LED lights are multiple voltage capable. I have seen 12v to 36v listed in ads. Not that it really matters if the packaging says twelve volt. :-(
Still, like @Mogman said, if they came with those wire adapters I would have expected them to have...
.
Sooooo Neat! Very nice.
Yeah, it needs a little luvin to make it "purty" but just having one is amazing.
Having touched two of them is almost impossible to imagine happening...

Seems that in our country, there is no regulations on stupidity.
Unlimited speed here on the highways would weed out a lot of ignorant people.
The problem would be the innocent or the "nit wits" that ride in the fast lane at fifty miles an hour.
Culture and History tell us a lot...

Welcome to the Outfit!
You might be a little optimistic on getting your truck by the New Year, but stranger things have happened. Remember, the government will slow down and vacations will be in a "used it or lose it" situation.
Since you joined up, gather up some Technical Manuals (TMs)...

I can claim witness to flying on one engine in a C-130. Either a B Model or a C-Model that belonged to the North Carolina Air National Guard was hauling an activity bus full of JROTC students. Flight plan was Charlotte to Myrtle Beach AFB, with an approach from out over the ocean. Plan was...
