    shelter dolly

We have an M832 and a M1022 both pull great at 65mph. Not sure what the variables would be perhaps psi in tires and air spings. On the otherhand pulling 2x M720 daisychained for 150mi is a 35- mph project. And at that it's a hoola dancing snake. And hears to hope that when extended backing...

AC generator plus inverter to start deuce

"Everything is turned off" is obviously not correct. DOD 24V gas engine generators go inexpensive at govliq. 3kw likley best bet to start a duece. Also available 5kw but they are big/heavy. A short term cheap modification might be a battery terminal disconnect switch. Not a bad security...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Anyone ID this 6x6? I thought of that myself. Problem is FD work the FEPP system for vehicles because they have little $. Take an M35 and make a bobtail. Not very expensive. Maybe $1000??? Maybe less. Make a crewcab cost ???? Quite a bit to hire it done. call it $5K...

    Anyone ID this 6x6?

Re: RE: Anyone ID this 6x6? They don't know what they had (or at least the current chief doesn't know). Just an old military 6x6. That's pretty typical. I'm helping them work the FEPP system for a "new" wildland truck. They sold the 6x6 (darn nice looking piece to me) to Daytona Beach FL...

    diesel gensets

The AF used/uses a very nice 3kw electric start diesel genset (exception to the above advice). Recent vintage with a Robin (Subaru) engine. Made by T&J Mfg. They are on govliquidation from time to time. Seems to go for $300-450. And that's a decent buy as far as I'm concerned. Easy...

You considered on of the welding trl sets? At least 2 different models being retired/replaced by the Army. Both have generator/welder and oxy/ac sets and vises, tool boxes, misc toys and goodies mounted on the trl.

    INFO ON Deuce tractor

Re: RE: It also fits this trailer Has to be in use for minimum 2yrs before can dispose of property. Good bet this truck will show up in govliquidation. The marginally accurate lising info will likely scare off most reutilization "customers".

    INFO ON Deuce tractor

Re: RE: It also fits this trailer Yep been thru that The alternate theory a water truck sitting in the shed while the fire is burning is worse. Most fire depts have only a small fraction of the water tanker capacity they need/should have. On average should have at least tankage to move...

    INFO ON Deuce tractor

RE: It also fits this trailer Do you guys have your 503c3/nonprofit? If so you can get DOD equipment thru your state surplus property office. The cost is/may be negotiable as they get direct from DRMS at no cost to them. But someone has to pay for transport from Ft Bummf, Ga to end user...

    INFO ON Deuce tractor

May be more economical to convert a cargo Duece to a tractor. Sell the bed and install a 5th wheel. Our FD will soon be selling a commerical (1990) 5th wheel we are removing from an F900 6x6 we received from DOD. Full floating/crosscountry with adjustable track. email if anyone is...

So, anyone need some 6LT's? (humorous pic, not serious)

Exide has a factory near me where they make their 6TL. Very busy piece of business the last few years. Heat really kills lead acid batteries. Which reminds me I need to call Exide for some 6TL seconds for our Fire Dept.

Wright Patterson AFB Woes Continue; Help!

I've picked up 9 trucks from various DRMO over the last 2 yr. Never had any that had any fluids drained. All in fact all had diesel left in the tank (well one was 90% mogas = toasted 8V92). Some with dead batteries, figure the batteries are dead or perhaps junk. The most important question...
