RE: chainsaw
My dad had a saw much like that when I was a kid (late 60s). Had about a 30" bar. I'll bet it is still in the factory shipping box. I don't remember what brand was. He only used it a couple times a year and usually had to spend 2 days getting it to start each time. Long...
Or cousin Floyd is a surplus dealer and anything that does not get reutilized thru DRMS goes to auction and the worse it sounds/looks the better deal Floyd will get.
Most of the DRMOs will assist DRMO customers with additional info, photos, info from tech inspection records, turning unit...
There were 2x M880s listed at DRMS Ft McCoy in the last couple of weeks rated F7 (McCoy is pretty good on condition codes). I think expired without anyone taking them (reutiized). If so the will be showing up at govliq one of these days.
Condition codes are very nearly totally useless/meaningless. "Obsolete" equipment being turned in for replacement will frequently be coded H7. The AF in particular codes equipment they are tired of (have $ to replace with near new stuff) will code H7 or frequently HX. For example an AF 14yr...
Not twins. Significant differences between the two. But the same daddy so closely related (engineering manager for the 1991 rtl model kit project of the 135 series).
Not exactly a CUCV question but a good a place as any.
Need to be able pull Mil Trailers fitted with air brakes (air/hyd or air) behind a 1T pickup. And be to operate the air brakes. Bumper/pintle hitch or full trailer/dolly.
No looking for trailer conversion. Looking for a kit that would...
Should be easy to buy an MKT as they are all being replace by the CK (Containerized Kitchen). 7.5t trailer with a 20ft ISO container. The govliq auction is likely a prototype of the Ck as does not look like the final product. 10KW genset.
CK TM...
DOD uses std 2" kingpin on "normal" size trailers. Tactical tractors have a floating 5th wheel (pivots on axis parallel to the frame) to allow crosscountry operation.
Large tractor/trailers have 3.5" kingpin. Such at the M911 and M1070 Oshkosh HET and the M920 Freightliner.
I don't know...
It would have to be less expensive to freight 2 pallets than to drive a 1000mi. Even if you time has no value what the cost per mi? A trucker only has to cover it one way. Your have to justify deadheading there.
Only one? then would have to be the Wright Flyer two seater of 1907. Showed what was possible and the grandaddy of all that followed.
For greatest impact C-47. All the other P- this and B- of WWII (and since) were/are marginally relevant fluff.
By the mid 80s the production 5t was the M923A1 (super singles). The M923 (rear duals) was before that which was preceeded by the M809.
DOD is still surplusing M52 series 5t though.
