Ok, mine moves fine. The cable is too long though. I can wedge part of my finger in there and it works. Hurts too. However, since what the seat back does is move the cable casing, the cable has to be the correct length. I will try to find something sitting around that will work in that...
I bought '85 K5 Blazer calipers and what I took off was exactly the same in size, shape, fittings and pad mounts. If they aren't the same, I don't know what the difference would be. Yes, I used '85 K5 Blazer parts.
When you go to bleed the brakes, if you find evidence of a leak. Which you probably will if air is getting in. Just buy new calipers. I put a new pair on my 1009 yesterday. $12.00 each at Oreilly's. I did one and my 11 year old Colton did the other. Took longer to jack it up and remove the...
Look for frayed or touching wires under the dash. However, I think your trouble is going to be in the rear wiring harness between the firewall and the fuel tank. The fuel gauge is just an Ohm meter and the fuel level sender in the tank is an adjutable resistor. I would guess that the blinker...
I searched here and found nothing. LMC catalog doesn't show it, neither does the -20P or -34P.
When the passenger seat is folded forward for access to the back, it is supposed to unlatch the seat base and allow it to travel forward. There is a cable that does this. My cable is there, but it...
Welcome to the fun. I am writting this with a smile on my face, so don't take it as mean. Click on the "resources" tab up at the top of the page and get to the TM section. Find the manuals for the M35 and down load them. Print them if you want. Then, spend the next few weeks reading them all the...
To asnwer your original question. You probably can not find mileage on the odometer that is true. Sure, it might be close, but you really don't know. I picked up a 1009 from Warthog a week ago that has over 76,000 on the meter. Warthog did a Carnac report and the truck was said to have been...
I just had to do the same thing to one of mine. Leaking down around the injector, took it apart, cleaned and still leaked. Second time same result. Third time it leaked between the line and the nut. Fourth time did it. I hope since I am at work and need to drive it home tonight.
Lots of...
Looks good. The battery door is a '53 or newer. The tool box cover though is '52 and older. Curved versus straight front against the fenders.
I do like those offset wipers.
You said you checked the starter button, but how about your master on/off switch? If it isn't all the way on, your starter button won't work. I agree with Chris though. Follow the voltage from the switch to the button to the relay to the solenoid to the starter.
Progress is a good thing Rory. No matter how much of a difference it makes to others looking in at your work. Let me know if I can help. I might have a free weekend near the end of Juvember.
Oh, I paid and then I waited for the EUC's to go through.
I just looked at my account on GL and they list a paid in full invoice for the trailer I titled and no problems. The other trailers don't have a paid in full invoice online for some reason. These people just seem to muddle through...
I bought 3 trailers in the summer of 2008. I sent GL the online SF-97 request for one of the trailers in November 2009. I got the SF-97 soon after. They have yet to bill me.
I am not complaining because I think the entire SF-97 scam is a scam. However, the card I paid with is a bank card...
That seal is mechanically easy to dig out and replace. Just a real pain to get to and work on in the truck. I will second the above post about pulling the box and replacing all the seals. Just about the same amount of work and everything will be good to go for a long time.
The seal for the sector shaft is real easy to change. You do need a pitman arm puller to get the pitman arm off. Then pull the c-clip that holds the seal in. Put a big pan under the steering box, start the truck and turn the steering wheel. That seal will shoot right out.
I saw somebody do...
The pre 1965 manuals in the online manual section covers it. So does a 1954 published manual called a TM9-8022.
I don't know about civilian OA331 engine books, but that might be another resource to look at.
The TM's are posted under the "resources" link at the top of the page. You want the ones that say "pre 1964" for the M35. They cover Gassers and multi's.
Check your rear valve cover with your finger for fresh oil. Mine does the same thing when it is mad at me for not driving it enough.
