Checked into this some more today, Its a normally closed switch [grounded]. Untill oil pressure comes up and opens the ground. With it unplugged truck will not crank, but in an emergency you can just ground the wire and truck will crank and run normal, you just wont have starter lockout...
If this is the right machine you have, Page 35 is welding parameters, its might be voltage 6 and wire speed at 50% on low range, depending on wire size

Hs anybody found a cross reference # for the starter lockout switch on the M813?? Ive searchd on here and found it mentioned as well as the NSN# 5930-22-692-9258, but have had no luck yet on the internet or parts books crossing it over or finding a NOS one.

I dont know much about GL. Only bought one vehicle from them. I bet you bought it "as is" though. I really doubt there is any warranty with this stuff. Have never seen an auction anywhere with a warranty. Good luck though and hope you get it fixed.

Tig is nice and I have one I love, but I use it mostly on aluminum, wire feed can handle most stuff on these trucks and is easier to learn to use. I also dont like flux core wire on sheet metal. Lots of guys use it with good success, I just dont like cleaning off the slag...
All my wire welders [i have 3 at home and 6 at work] have charts inside the door. Just set it at what the chart says for the thickness of material, wire speed, heat setting etc. Will be very close and often need no changing.

I have a plasma cutter, but the Plasma Cams are awesome. My son used one in Vo-Tech to make all kinds of stuff and was really neat. He even cut out gears/sprockets, really cool.

Most clutch discs do not have much material on them above the rivets. But I would say your mileage would depend on a lot of factors, mostly your left foot!!
It is amazing how long the discs last with that small amount of material on them.
