Kwai, Sermis and myself got back to Texas real early Sunday morning and to our homes between sun up and noon.
It was great to meet everybody that was there Friday. Sorry we missed out seing the Saturday arrivals. (Whoever was driving into Helen about 0800 from the South Saturday morning with...
Kwai, Sermis and myself will be gathering near Houston tonight and start that way once all the parts getting spread across the country are loaded. Should be at the rally before dark Friday if the few parts drop off stops aren't too long.
Something else to consider when towing a M35 with a smaller vehilce is where you attach the tow bar to the M35.
Look at my avatar. I took that after towing my M35 Gasser home from a field with the M715. The normal tow bar/shackle mounts were stolen from the front bumper. I used the axle...
RE: Re: RE: Anyone have an exploded diagram of the front axl
Go here and download the Adobe version of the -34.

Aren't the M135 axles side loading? Along with the fact that the front turns "backwards" compared to what any modern transfer case will spin the front drive shaft?
I am not a 135 educated person. Those two things above have been pointed out to me before though and I though I would pass it along.
RE: Re: SS GA Event lodging
Myself, Kwai and maybe at least one other member should be showing up sometime late Friday night to let the temp/loaner M35 Gimpy is bringing down continue its trip to Houston. We will need to leave sometime early Saturday and haven't signed up any place else...
I would go with the old stand by "CHECK YOU GROUNDS!" IF you are getting power to the light bucket and the bulb is good, ground is about the only thing left.
To add to what Lanty wrote.
The oil line to the head is part of the T fitting that holds the oil sending unit. If your pressure is crazy high, then I would also suspect the head oiling. Pull the valve cover and see if there is any oil there. I really suspect the line to the back of the head...
The one listed is a M35A2 harness. It has Packard fittings, 7 pin rear harness connector and is meant for a mulitfuel truck. He needs a harness for a M35 with Douglas fittings and a 6 pin rear harness. (No blinkers)
That being said, I bought one of those M35A2 harnesses myself for my Gasser...
RE: Hot hubs
It is a good way to determine proper inflation of a tire too. Check the temps across the tread. Peaks in the middle too much air, peaks on the outside and not enough air.
RE: Hot hubs
Go ahead and spend the $40 or so for an infrared non contact thermometer. It is great for hub temps, tire temps and brake temps. I don't leave home in any vehicle without one anymore.
You driving around 610 or 45 in Houston on a day like yesterday will make anything on the truck...
Something to complicate things is if the original owner is now dead and/or the vehicle was last titled before 1975 or so.
I have bought several vehicles in the past that hadn't been registered in 30 years and the owner was dead. The heirs couldn't find the titles.
I took a signed heirship...
RE: Re: RE: Air Horn Solenoid
My students walked in about half way through the above post and I had to rush the last part. To continue:
Voltage to the solenoid and a good ground means the solenoid is probably not right. I had one that would shock the day light out of me if I had my hand on...
