RE: Re: Tires
Mike,
Call ITT. Their website doesn't always process orders that good. Ask for Rusty. Just tell him you are putting Michelins on a M715 and he will know exactly what tubes you need. He asked me to call him the next time I have my M715 in Houston so he can meet me and see...
Marcus,
That is exactly what I planned to do with my Gasser. Use the multifuel harness to update all the wires and connectors. Thanks for the feedback.
I also have another M715 to wire up. The Gasser M35 and the M715 need just about the same wires at the same place, so I am going to get one...
I have seen several "complete" M35 wiring harness listed on E-Bay lately. My truck has no wires on it at all. So, I need a complete harness. My problem and question is this. Has anyone here bought one of the ones and can you tell me if the rear wiring to the tail lights is included? I can...
Oh, my gaskets were still in one piece and came off real easy. I am going to reuse them. I haven't had time to shop around for a new brake band. What is the going price for those things?
One other note. The oil fill plugs on the top of the winch were corroded away and stuck. I welded in a...
Here is the result of all being turned to green. This is the winch, all parts of the winch that come off, all new fasteners and the frame extensions. Those of you with sharp eyes will notice that only half the frame extensions are there. I painted the other ones when I repainted a used...
I was prepping my winch for painting tonight and had to figure out a non destructive way to remove the handle. While going through my pile of pullers, I kept having to move the Pitman Arm puller out of the way. I finally decided to see if it would fit. It did, like it was made for it. A...
RE: Tire
For me, it isn't the speed it is the pressure. These rims are really pretty fool proof once the bead has seated all the way over the lock ring. Even if the ring looks right, until the tire is over it, I don't trust it.
I use the regulator for several reasons:
The tire gets no air...
Ken,
The mental image of you under your truck looking at a tire sitting all by itself 50 feet away made me chuckle. Are your neighbors easily worried? If they are, next time you fill a tire wear a helmet and put sand bags around the tire. Just be sure and yell "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" real loud...
Lackland AF Base has a pretty cool collection of planes on static display. The also have the cargo version of a B-36 just sitting there.
The USS Lexington is a great tour.
The Menger is a neat place to walk into if you are a history buff.
You could always take I-35 south about an hour and watch illegals jump off the north bound trains.
I'm glad to hear that. I have the rest of my stuff through them and have been wondering how they will react when I call about my Gasser once it is closer to road worthy.
Sermis, Pistolnut, myself and a few other lurkers who I don't think have ever posted here went to this over the weekend.

We met up at Pistolnut's house before the drive into College Station. Here is the two 1967 Mulitfuels meeting for the first time...
I just did this over the weekend too. I ground the screw heads off one tank. I used a chisel and a BFH on another tank. The chisel method is a lot faster, didn't chew up the tank or thow sparks. I would recommend that method over the grinder or even the drill way.
Once you get the tank...
A stock M715 does great in the environment it was designed for. Off road below 45 mph.
The underpowered concerns only show up with those of us trying to use the truck as a modern new 1 ton is used.
