The u-joint size is the 1310 size all over the truck. Is that what you needed?

    Air Compressor Help

RE: Air compressor help I thought of that too, but according to the above linked diagram, it has its own oil pump. That leads me to believe it is a self contained oil system.

    Air Compressor Help

RE: Air compressor help Now that it works and I looked at it close enough to realize it has no engine supplied oiling. How the heck do I check, add, drain oil on this compressor? I don't won't to burn it up. Sorry for being such a "tech leach." Thanks.

    Air Compressor Help

RE: Air compressor help Accoridng to the above linked diagram, the big nuts cover the discharge valves. I pulled them off tonght. The forward one had a broken spring. I shimed the rest of the spring with some washers and tried to put it together. I don't think those caps are supposed to be...

    Air Compressor Help

I took some pictures and tried the oil in the intake trick last night. The oil didn't make any difference, but here are the pictures so you guys know what I am talking about. I also couldn't find the oil feed line. Were these compressors internally oiled only?

    Air Compressor Help

2 cylinder Westinghouse water cooled air compressor. It has a water in, water out and air out all in what looks like 1/2" copper line. a 3/8" oil in line and another 3/8" air line that goes to the firewall mounted regulator. The intake port has a filter housing and a hose that goes to the...

    Air Compressor Help

I opened the tank drains just to see if air was getting to them. With one of them open and the rest of the system closed for 10 minutes of running, I had to feel with my hand for any air coming out because the pressure was so low that I couldn't hear it with the engine running. I'm just not...

    Air Compressor Help

I got my Gasser running this morning. It runs a lot better than I imagined. That OA331 has a lot of power. I am not getting any air pressure built up though. I removed the intake line and filter thinking it wasn't gettng any air. I can put my finger over the intake on the compressor and it...

    105 Tail lights

No problem, I just happened to have a recepticle on my desk. by the way, wire 90 is only about 6" long. It should be looped back to the recepticle mounting screws for grounding or another bolt just for that purpose real close to the recepticle.

    105 Tail lights

Wire 90 on the truck side of the plug is the ground wire for the trailer harness. It is in position D. Which is on the bottom drivers side of plug standing at the truck tailgate and looking at the truck.

    Gasser Body Parts

Sorry, I didn't do a write up over here. I got swamped at work and haven't had time. Basically I had talked Sermis and Pistolnut into helping me out. Sermis with his M35A2 W/Wn and a construction trailer behind it spent the day driving all over Texas to help me. Only to find that the...

    Gasser Body Parts

I got my second Gasser M35 home yesterday. I want to make one truck out of the two. Both have rust. Nothing time and a MIG won't fix, but still rust. Before I start down that trail I was wondering if anybody in Texas has any Gasser body parts that they don't value with the price of gold...

    Headphones recommendations while driving Deuce

RE: Re: Headphones recommendations while driving Duece I had this same concern about legality before I installed the intercom in my M715. I searched the state codes on line and couldn't find anything. I finally ended up calling DPS (Texas Department of Public Safety which is like every other...

    Bellhousing issue

RE: Re: RE: Bellhousing issue Jelli, Look at the JP picture you posted. That adaptor makes enough room for a bigger than normal light duty bellhousing. The bigger bell allows a 13" clutch behind an Chevy V8 engine. It just happens that the bigger 13" clutch bellhousings are the only ones...

    Duals vs. singles

Michelin makes the XL tire and the XZL tire. The XZL has smaller closer spaced tread blocks. Think of the XZL as the all terrain tire and the XL as the mud version.

    Comset Ideas for Deuce Cab?

RE: Re: RE: Comset Ideas for Deuce Cab? I run an aviation intercom like the one listed above in my M715. (mail order special from 12 years ago when I got my pilots license. Marv Golden I think. 4 place Intercom and 2 head sets for around $130.00.) It makes long trips a lot better. Couple...

    finished power steering!

Just get a FSJ box and pitman arm. They bolt right on. Getting the pump that goes with the box is a plus. But, any "canned ham" style pump will work. Make sure you get the right hose/pump combination. It will either be o-ring or compression style for the pressure line at the back of the...

    Axle Differences

I want to start this with an apology. I am still climbing the Duece learning curve. I feel that I have been asking and asking but not contributing here. That should change once I get my two completely apart and learn how they go back together. Thank you all for the help I have already...
