Just bumping this thread back up so whoever is in Tempe and sent me the gauge panel might see it. Send me a PM with Paypal info so I can pay your postage. Thank you for the panel.
RE: Reduction geared lug wrench
That was probably me that wrote the post you saw 4 weeks ago. The OBA on my M715 blew a hose right behind the compressor and we had to pull all the outter rears off, some of the inners and both fronts. That reduction wrench saved the day.
The design of the...
David, thanks for reminding us of things that will really hurt once the money is all spent. Big help.
Dennis, can another PTO be piggy backed onto the one you pictured? It has the 6 bolt cover and I just started thinking.
It is covered in ice right now. I will try to pull it out of the bed later today and let it dry.
But, the best way to fab the cab mount up is like this:
Remove the top 8 bolts that are located on the back of the cab behind the driver and the drivers side grab handle.
Tape a sheet of poster...
Does anyone remember how Tom, Spicergear, did his PTO's? He had a front winch on his Blue Duece and then he added the hydraulic crane in the middle. When I was at his place in March, he was mounting up a rear winch.
Thanks for the numbers on the PTO's guys.
Will a 3052 or 3052A transmission PTO bolt up and work on the M35's transfer case? I have two of everything except winches. Just one of those. I was thinking about a rear winch and started wondering what parts I would need to collect to make it work.
Thanks.
Hey, I like that. Thanks for the picture.
Thanks also to the two people who sent me gauge panels too. Please stop though, I have it covered now. Whoever is in Tempe and sent me a panel, please PM me your Paypal address so I can at least pay your postage. I can't make out the name on the...
Are you hinting at me? I pulled the entire assembly off the truck this afternoon. I really have to agree with the others that it isn't an M35 part. It was secured by the bolts that hold the grab handle on the outside and by the bolts that hold the cab corner sheet metal on down the back. The...
RE: Air system
Wipers! Picture me slapping my forehead because I should have known that. Any help on the other unknown fitting would be a help. I can't find an air line just hanging around waiting for a gauge to hook onto either. That is why I am leaning toward the un orthodox electric psi...
I have two things concerning the air system on my M35 that have me puzzled. The first picture shows a fitting on the dash. It is plumbed directly into the air system. It kind of unscrews but not all the way and with left hand threads.
The second picture shows two things that look like...
I have a 1951 Gasser somebody put a dropside be on. While looking at pictures and other trucks, I notice a difference in the drop side bed sides. Some have tie down pockets and mine doesn't.
What is the difference if there is one in normal beds throughout the M35 life span? I am thinking I...
My REO Gasser has a dropside bed on it. The sides and the tailgate only have pins at the ends and they are really loose and rusted. I have a lathe and was thinking of just making new ones. Unless somebody knows of a place that has boxes of them just sitting around. I also started wondering...
Well, I was looking at my spare A2C cab and it looks like a bikini top from a baby Jeep will slide right in the groove on top of the windshield and be just about the right length to reach the canvas top bow in the back. Of course, that really depends on how stupid it looks. But, I have a long...
I plan to keep them for now. Mainly because I really, really wanted a multifuel and ended up with two gassers. I can probably make one good gasser period correct with the parts I have now. Then use the good leftovers to go to work on a whisler of my own.
Of course, I might just fall in love...
