I carry way too many spare parts. - Starter (overkill), Waterpump - major work to "field replace", all liquid filters, and many more......
Definitely carry a set of good tools. Small hydraulic jack (Test it to make sure it has enough lift to lift a tire/axle).
But what I have had to replace...
I have a 5 kw unit mounted on the top of the Helmet Top tool box, inside the truck, with the exhaust routed outside. I added a 1.5 gallon tank, since I like to run Kerosene for the cleaner, odorless burn. Power comes from a 12v Lifepo4 battery. There is a 2" hole in the top of the box to allow...
To be clear, the plastic piece that broke off wasn’t from shut off solenoid, it was from the secondary solenoid that has a wire inside the pump,
I don’t know what that is for,
older humvees don’t have that solenoid in there injection pumps
The smaller solenoid is the cold advance solenoid.
Some questions to help us understand the problem better.
Did the unit ever run correctly before the single phase conversion?
Did it ever run correctly after the conversion?
Is the engine laboring, like it's under full load?
Does the current go up immediately, or only when the contactor is...
Well, my curiosity got to me, and I did some further research. One of the NSN documents I found says it is a pressure output port, but not for what purpose. Possibly for a capillary to an actual pressure gage? The doc states "sensor shall have one pressure input connection, one electrical...
If it is a close fitting joint you might be able to use ABS pipe glue. I have used that on ABS ducting, and it worked great. For larger gaps I have used JB weld Plastic Bonder Structural Adhesive, and Permatex Plastic Welder. If you want a dual syringe with a gun and mixing nozzle, you can get...
Looking at the weight difference, makes me wonder if they are all nylon belted, and not steel belted. I could not find that info in the description, but I did come across this statement in their description " The intended purpose of Mud Terrain tire types is off-road use. They are not designed...
Solved that problem. Bought the wife a Blue Parrot trucker headset with bluetooth. She watches her movies on her phone, and I have not heard from her since then.
I have not disassembled one of my humvee shocks, but have cut open other ones. Caution, the shocks are presurized with nitrogen. Drilling a big hole too fast will get you sprayed with oil (think of it like drilling a hole into a can of spray paint). I would drill a small (1-2mm) hole on the far...
