Got one that does the same thing. I chained mine to the seat, since it's very rare that I need low range and I use the same lock and chain that secures the steering wheel.
Last of the big government auctions occurred in the fall of 2009, as that is when all of the NG and AR units were to receive their new vehicles and turn in the old ones to DRMO. Bought my last Shop Van in a Redstone auction that had 129 deuces in it, all ending the same day and time. I don't...
It's a lot better with the sinks five feet from the cooking, and everything elevated from a muddy field, with the possibility of walls and/or screens for protection against inclement weather! If you still have MKT's in Germany share this info with some of the QM people that do field feeding.
After washing the cookware in cold water by lantern light at my first Georgia Rally, standing on muddy ground, I vowed there should be a better way.
I picked up a partially stripped MKT and began the build. First I cut down the cabinet that the four burners sit on and shortened it so that it...
It's been too long since I did the generator, but I seem to remember it was in the range of 55-65 foot pounds on the deuce spin on filter setup (I have done five sets of these, and will be doing a sixth this spring). You want it snug enough that only the filter comes loose, not the adapter...
Usually its the same for all spin on kits. You take the old filter off, clean the mounting position up, install the new gasket (with a little fresh oil), mount the spin on plate, screw in the attaching 'tube' and torque down to specs, then mount whatever filter fits and is available among the...
I own two of those tanks, one is at Ferro's and the other is on loan to the club to store bulk fuel in. The one at Ferro's is coming home this spring to be placed alongside my generator shed. 55 gallons in the aux tank and another 600 in the tertiary pod tank should get me almost a month of...
Just for general reference IBC stands for Intermediate Bulk Container, a plastic 275 to 325 square container with a steel cage surrounding it, used to move non-petroleum liquids for industrial or farm purposes. They generally last 2-3 years outdoors and up to 5 years stored indoors. Most can...
I have always run my MBU's on diesel, unless I'm given jet fuel! Jet fuel is waterless kerosene/diesel with antifreeze (anti-gel), biocides, and corrosion inhibitors. From what I've been told, the difference between Jet-A and JP-8 is the strength of the antifreeze, since military jets fly...
Pvt Jarhead in the Reno, NV area disappeared a couple of years ago. He or an employee refurbished radios and sold them. There are still a few folks on the MILCOMM forums that work on rigs, but I cannot name specific people.
The 383 Green fades on horizontal surfaces but is still better than actual CARC Green. On vertical surfaces it is darker, and when wet all of it looks like the original paint job. Most of mine has been painted five years or so in South Carolina heat.
Sounds like you need to get one of mt MKT-Info USB drives. I think the original thread was "MKT Thumb Drive" when there was only about 1.3 GB of files. The last one I sent out was over 5.5 GB, maybe as much as 10 GB with some other Distribution A manuals that I have in electronic format. It...
Ray, he had about an inch of clearance total between the sides of the door frame. He made it look like a piece of cake! Chris walks on water with heavy machinery!
The reason being, that the full size shank bears directly on the part being held to it's base, which is in rotational stress. Using threaded bolts at that point would allow a rotational movement which eventually would snap off ALL of the bolts at an
inconvenient time.
Post #23 (above) says 24V comes in on pin (cable) A, and ground is on pin (cable) B, with Pin C not being used. The cable that goes to pin A must have a fuse in it because the unit does not have any other protection. If that is not clear, have someone else do it.
