They should already have a regular valve stem on them (visible in the picture, chrome looking thing with a valve stem removal cap). The adapter plates bolt on to the back side so the CTIS assembly is a non-issue. It is common for the valve stem to get snapped off when the wheels are stacked so...
I got a couple of Jeepers to embrace my 5 ton. This was at a Four Wheel Parts truck show so there were lots of Jeeps. Of course this was after I totally crushed the junk cars that had been placed there for crushing. After all that were interested in car crushing had taken their turn, the cars...
Also check to make sure the brake master cylinder piston is retracting all the way when the peddle is released and the right front glad hand has to be vented.
The turn signal switch is easy to open up and clean . I have cleaned several to solve various symptoms. A small piece of sandpaper on the contact surfaces and a little lithium grease goes a long way. It is a good place to start your troubleshooting efforts.
I was with a friend who bought tires from them. Only caution is that they patch sidewall holes and do not disclose that to the buyer. Some of the surplus tires they get come with a hole or two drilled through the sidewall, I am guessing to prevent reuse. My friend specified 90% or better tread...
I do not have a picture but I just ran them under the left frame rail and attached them to the frame tie-down handle above and slightly to the rear of the spare tire. They are looped around the tie-down and secured with crimp ferrules.
I am calling it a Steel Soldiers group and have three trucks at least there so far. Buzz and John are helping and taking their trucks. We have two adjacent spots though as of now are across from where we have been in the past. We got a truckload of firewood set up and we have a start on shelter...
I live in a desert and "our" lake is Elephant Butte in south-central New Mexico. There are many there with MVs specifically for the sand, used to pull 5th wheel trailers. Most are 5 tons. Some deuces. I have not seen a single LMTV for that out there. You also do not see bobbed trucks pulling...
Most campers are wood-framed and will start coming apart as screws and nails loosen. I have experience with slide-in truck campers on pickups. there are some campers that are welded steel or welded aluminum framed.
Wrecker springs are not actually springs but solid steel beams that do not "spring".
They will work, but not well. The front tires will contact the louvers in the fender wells while off-reading. I had two wheels widened to ten inches to solve that problem but still had problems with tubes leaking. Cheap tubes (less than $50) do not hold up too well for very long. I eventually...
I have not purchased a whole truck from them but I have seen several in the build process while there shopping for parts. It looked to be very good work.
Agree that grounds are the place to start. Only one of the two bolts that secure the front turn signal/parking lights and the tail light housings is actually connected to the bulb circuits within. Make sure that connection is good. ( some assume either bolt will do the job) The turn signal...
