Remove it and make sure that brass tip is tight, mine wasn't far from falling out and into the turbo, the o-ring that leaks is on a plug under a snap ring, remove snap ring, cover plug with your hand and a rag and blow it out with compressed air. I'm not sure of the o-ring size bc it was in a...
I just got a air force truck for parts (blue paint underneath) of unknown year, but I just went and looked, it has single air pack, sorry I couldn't help.
Mine started dripping fuel yesterday around the plug at the rear, I thought about eliminating it but decided to see if I could fix it. I pulled it and found that it's just a o-ring that seals a aluminum plug in the rear of it. I'm sure glad I decided to fix it because I found the tip of the...
I just stripped the frame apart that came off the donor truck, the hinge pieces are near perfect and work with the Korean windshields. Will post comparison pics shortly. For future reference don't bother buying the windshields that come with the hinge.
It's just two channels that fit together. I just looked at deuce #3 (parts truck, former air force judging by the blue paint), it's upper hinge halves are good so I'll see if the Korean windshields will fit them.
Here is one of them, maybe I'm just not looking at something right, but it seems the hinge should at least get close to being parallel to the top of the windshield frame? It's not the rubber holding it up, In the pics in putting quite a bit of pressure on it too.
I got them but the hinges seem to be incorrect? The hinges don't have enough movement to allow the windshield to close, it's still going to be open by a few inches
I'll check mine in the am but I think it's normal, there has to be room for the leaves to move, no suspension expert but I think only one can be attached solid, the rest have to be able to move as they bend.
I believe the top leaf is the one that actually wraps around the pin/bushing and that the loop you are looking at is the second leaf from the top of the stack
Thanks sir! I drilled the bolt out, blasted and painted the l/h windshield hinge, mirrors, mirror bracketry, all the exhaust brackets and guards. Didn't mess with windshields bc of the rain, Tuesday hopefully.
I sandblasted the seam where the cowl meets the cab just below the windshield frame, welded a repair piece in a hole, blended it in and seam sealed the whole seam. All steel, no bondo!!! New windshields go in tomorrow. Also drove it to take my 7yr old girl to a army themed bday party for two...
