I changed both joints. It would be stupid to not do both. I torqued them to spec and this is how it turned out. I thought it looked funny because the old one didn’t come out the bottom as far as this one. Glad to hear your take on it.

So I replaced my ball joints today and I followed the install instructions in the TM pertaining to the upper ball joint adjusting sleeve but I feel like something is wrong here. The adjusting sleeve seems deep in the knuckle and a lot of threads are visible. I followed the torque instructions to...
My blazer was flat black when I bought it. I prefer camo or OD on these vehicles.
Whatever paint they used on my blazer was rolled on. I think it was maybe Behr paint but I'm not too sure, it was a very thick finish though. If I did it again I would buy the flat black paint that Rapco sells.
Doesn’t seem that bad, almost seems easier to pull the axle and work off a bench versus laying in the floor. I’ll put it back together and see if it has issues. I’ll cross that bridge when I get it it.
We used it have a great off-road shop just west of me. He did transmission, transfer case...
Ball joints. I swear every joint on this thing is loose. The upper ball joint had a bit of play so I’m doing both. Trying to get this thing tuned up before I get the new tires and an alignment.

Let me know how that Off-road Design loft works out for you. I know that make a quality product and I have been contemplating doing my truck.

Long video, could have been much shorter but thats not the point.
I have one of these guns, it works great! I've painted a bunch of stuff with it. I'm not a master painter but I can lay down a decent coat of paint. The spray pattern adjustment has always seemed a little coarse. I doesn't...
I’m not in the Guard so my opinion is strictly from a civilian perspective but a few of the guard depots in my area still had CUCV’s up until a couple years ago. I recall driving by a couple depots and seeing them from the road.

Not even two pages of posts? Everybody broke this year or something?
I have a Chevy hood i need to part with. Not CUCV but still GM. Only gonna bring it if someone wants it.
I might have more CUCV stuff but I won't know for another couple weeks.
+1 on quality race harnesses. I was gonna mention that in my earlier post but it was getting a little long winded.
Most race cages incorporate what’s called a harness bar; a tube that runs horizontal behind the seats about shoulder level. That provides a solid platform for attaching the...
No, it’s not a high steer set-up. I wouldn’t waste my time with that on a 10 bolt axle.
It’s a much nicer quality product than the OE style components. 1.25 x 0.25 wall tubing is more than strong enough for anything I’ll be doing with the truck.
And I would think it belongs in the...
I received my Offroad Design tie rod, rod ends and steering stabilizer mount yesterday. Expect a review and write-up in the near future. It will post over in the hot rodding and modifying forum.
