As I hurry up and wait... SHIPPING a HMMWV?

Check with Steve on here, Retired Warhorses. He has a haul guy that might be able to help you out. I don't think you would enjoy a ride thru Northern CA without a big dually diesel. Lots of freight inbound to WA state, not a lot out. Makes it pricey. My 2 cents.

    2 man bulkhead?

Got both, no problem. Remove the quarter turns, slide the back forward slightly, pick up the rear, slide out.

'97 M1097a2 4L80e is bad. Need advice - DIY rebuild or junkyard swap?

The guy "clinebarger" has a shop , the last I chatted with him, in Fort Worth. He knows his stuff on these transmissions. It would be worth your time and money to ship him a transmission to overhaul. My two cents.

    Power Steering Fluid Blow Out

Two lines behind the left splash panel to the cooler kind of out of sight, is my bet. And there is a reason it is advised to change all the lines out as a sound practice when acquiring one of these. Ask me why I know about these two lines!

    HHMWV Fuel tank leak

If you have a hydraulic line shop near, you can carry those in and they can replicate them easily. Just saying.

    (stupid) pitman arm replacement question.

You will need about a 26 inch piece of 1 inch square aluminum, epoxy, at least one 9,10 inch torpedo level with a laser and 2 carpenter's plumb bobs a digital protractor, nothing fancy, and heavy (mason) string , enough wax paper and "shiny" magazine pages (10 sheets each wheel, you can use them...

    (stupid) pitman arm replacement question.

Don't use the string myself, plumb bob, tape measure, laser level, fabricated aluminum bar to bridge the wheel plus a digital protractor for caster and camber. Takes me about two hours. Adjusting the tow and thrust on the backend can be confusing if you have never done rears before. MUCH...

    (stupid) pitman arm replacement question.

Hard to screw up a pitman arm instal......... my guess a tire is working over the arm. When you get ready to balance your new tires I would suggest finding an off road shop 0r the Loves guys down at exit 72, and I would take them in off the truck, spin 4 tires throw them back in the back of...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

You are not going to "remove" it the way you are thinking. You will end up cutting the outside portion off once you remove the screw and discover the inside has swelled in place. Punch the remaining piece inside to remove when you get the tank out. I might add, buy the correct piece instead of...

    Hmmwv starting issues

There are one or three things on these an amateur should not try............ R & R ing an injector pump in my opinion is one of them. Drop a bolt down the front cover and you may not get a Masters Degree but you will earn a BS for sure.........my 2 cents.
